Happy Sunday, my faithful kittens,

I've come to tell you about an extraordinary trip we took just after saying "I do", last October... What a pleasure to look back on these photos, I feel like I've gone back a little while editing these images. I can't think of a better time to go on a honeymoon than a few hours after your wedding. After checking out, collecting the glitter and handing out the flowers, leaving while we're still in a bubble of love... So we left for 10 days in Greece. You're going to tell me that's short, but for a workaholic like me, it was already a big step. I'm leaving again in a few months for 15 days, and it's already a personal challenge to be away from the lemonade studio for so long! I'm already preparing myself psychologically (no, I'm not crazy, I love my work

...). Well, back to the point: Greece!

For our honeymoon, we didn't want to spend endless hours driving from one place to another. flight

We wanted peace and quiet, sunshine at all costs, a change of scenery and a cheap destination too.... That's how Greece and its islands came to be the ideal place to continue

 to continue soaring. And at this time of year (early October), the weather is sublime, the temperatures are warm but not scorching, and it's the end of the tourist season, so there aren't many people around.

The trip took place in three stages: we arrived in Santorini directly from Paris, and it's this adorable little island that we're going to talk about today, then we took a boat to Heralkio in Crete for a few days, then we took a flight

to Athens. All this to say that it's very easy to get around the country... And that if we'd stayed longer, I'd have done a bit more of the little islands in the Cyclades, next time for sure!

For your information, and because this one made the trip for me, the island of Santorini is like an arc of a circle, with a small uninhabited island right in front of it, and if you look at these two beauties from the sky, you see a circle taking shape. In fact, Santorini is a volcanic island, and the inhabitable part lies on the side of a volcano's crater. It's crazy to think that just a few kilometers below, there's a cavity full of molten magma!

Once on the island, it's hard to get around on foot, as it's pretty damn big. We did some of our travelling by car, but it's possible to rent scooters all over the island, or if you're not afraid of anything, even quads... We had some wonderful walks on the highest point of the island, from where we could see the ocean on either side, it's a bit magical... The first walk we did, we set off on a bit of a wild goose chase, and that brought us to Fira, the island's "capital".

Fira is also famous for its funicular railway, so even in low season, I'd advise you to skip the descent to the old port, Ormos, and take it back up! To get to the port, walk down the long, winding path that looks like a staircase (forget your flip-flops, by the way). You'll come across hundreds of adorable little donkeys tired of carrying lazy tourists, so give them a pat and make your way down with your own feet, just to get rid of the local moussaka...

Once at the bottom, you'll find small cafés and boats that will take you to the small island opposite or to the sublime postcard town of Ioa! I was desperate to get to Ioa by sea, but by the time I got down there, the last boat of the day had left. Be careful at this time of year, with night falling early the last boats are around 4.30pm. So we took the funicular back up...

We stayed 5 days in Santorini in a lovely hotel, the Amber Light Villaswe had a room like a small individual villa with our own pool, if you've been following me on Instagram, you'll remember this photo ! What was crazy was that we were facing just the sky and the horizon, I don't know how it's possible but it was very difficult to make out the horizon line, we were enveloped in a gradation of blue, everywhere.

Every morning that we stayed in the this hotelall I could think about was feasting on the restaurant's gargantuan breakfast! An assortment of fresh local produce, I still think about it some mornings in front of my bowl of sad cereals...

The hotel is located between Fira and Oia, so once we were there we did a lot of things on foot over the next few days, but I have to admit that we spent quite a bit of time enjoying the view, the sun and our little pool, not doing much except revelling in the time we'd managed to spare and reminiscing about that night of October 3...

And then, one day, after recovering from our emotions, we decided to set off on an adventure directly to Oia, on foot, on your advice! A sublime 3-hour walk along the side of the volcano, punctuated by sparkling white churches scoured by the scorching sun... One of the most beautiful memories of the trip!

And then, suddenly, we arrive in Oia, the image I had of the Cyclades! Okay, I know it's not just that, because there are 250 islands and islets in the Cyclades, of which only 24 are inhabited, but in my head it was like that! So Oia is Santorini's "tourist" capital, with lots of restaurants and stores, and I'd advise you to get off the main streets and lose yourself in the alleyways to discover some nuggets and crazy viewpoints!

In fact, Oia is famous for its sumptuous sunsets, so at least once, don't hesitate to book into a restaurant with a terrace to enjoy a breathtaking view! We did it at Pelekanoson our last evening, and I have to admit it was magical, with incredible views and the best octopus salad of my life!
