My little cats...

This post could have been called "dream big" or "tears of joy, cries of hysteria". It's with a very special emotion that I'm writing to you today, because I'm touching at the tip of my fingers a little girl's dream, or a teenager's dream at least. When I was a little girl, I wanted to look for dinosaurs, and be a part-time florist in a 2-square-meter store down the street from my mom's work... And then, as a teenager, all the girls in my class had a game... "let's draw fashion at least once at Christmas, and dreamed of designing clothes. Secretly, I really wanted to become a designer too, but I told myself I didn't want to be like everyone else, and I said I wanted to be an interior designer or an ergonomist (anything to differentiate myself, I tell you)...

And then I applied to Duperré and studied fashion design, which turned out to be great. I specialized in children's fashion because I thought I'd have more room to express myself, as the women's world was already over-saturated... But I secretly dreamed of being able to wear the clothes I'd designed, and even more, to see women in the street (let's be crazy) wearing those clothes. A dream... And then life got naughty and took twists and turns, and one day I launched my independent life with the Make My Lemonade blog, that little window on the internets that literally changed my life. I've discovered a passion for teaching others how to make things, perhaps yet another unacknowledged childhood dream of becoming a teacher... But Do it Yourself has been my favorite tool and medium over the last few years, so we've been meeting through screens or in real life at workshops!
