My chestnuts, it's with a heart in my eyes and a trumpet in my voice that I speak to you today... read this article with this song please...

I wrote a book, I received my book. It's been in my bag for 9 days, I've been dragging it to the Monoprix, on the subway, in the evening, in my bed. What a slap in the face. I'm not quite sure how far I've come, but flipping through its 200 colorful pages full of photos and illustrations makes me think "shit, I've done all that! It's a real slap in the face, to go from digital to paper and everything becomes concrete, even more tangible...

I'm sure that if you're active on the networks, or a bit bloggo-connected, you already know about it... My friends on the internets have already told you the news... If I didn't tell you about it before, it's because I wanted to keep it to myself for a while longer. Make my party will be released on Thursday June 13, and I'm stopping myself as I write this. It's silly, but on June 13, in 2 days' time, it won't belong to me any more, it'll be yours and I'll be feeling something, it's warm and pleasant to share it with you, and yet there's a gigantic fear lurking in the air... what if you don't like it? I try not to think about it.

I don't think there's ever been a project in my short life into which I've poured so much energy, sweat and heart... I've wanted to give up several times, "it's too ambitious", "it's too early", "I'll never be able to finish it" and then little by little, taking one step at a time, thanks to you too, by writing to you "I don't want to hear about it: I can't do it, I'll never make it anyway", I said to myself "Shit, you've got a unique chance, stop complaining, move on". I didn't want to rush it and have to say to myself in 6 months' time, "I don't even want to look at it anymore, I've seen too much," I want to be able to grab it in 6 months' time, leaf through it, smell it, and feel proud. So for the almost 1 year I've known the news, for the 9 months I've been working like a brute on it, well, in 2 days, it'll be everywhere*...

Well, I just want to say THANK YOU. I want to scream THANK YOU! Thanks to Eyrolles, to Anne who came looking for me and said: "Let's make a book" (yes, really!), thank you to Charlotte my photographer, who chose me and became my friend, working hard alongside her studies. Thank you to Clairea pretty florist who has been my flower dealer throughout this adventure... Thanks to Good evening Pariswho pushed me to my limits, and who kicked my ass so that I would be the artistic director of my layout and not just wait for them to come up with an idea so that I could finally put my name next to it... Thanks to them for their high standards and rigor, and their precious time in front of Indesign... Thanks to all those who are in this book, who make it a little more alive... and for their smiles when they first had it in their hands.

THANK YOU

I'm so full of gratitude, I did it, and I didn't do it alone so thank you to everyone, my friends, my family and of course you, shadow readers, for believing in me because it really is the most wonderful engine, I hope today to live up to your expectations now.

And since I'm the worst care bear you've ever met, I'm still shedding a tear as I write this post... Anyway, this will be a post that's meant to be added to as I come across each and every person who has participated in the book, from near or far, so that's where we are for now, and if you'd like to give me a present... If you buy the book, send me a photo of you with it, just like they did! Or we'll do even better ("generation 2.0") and send me your photo on instagram with the hastag #makemyparty and I'll come and enlarge my family portrait! THANK YOU!

And of course if you want to win one, leave me a comment, tell me anything... no rules today, I'm all about love... And I'll draw 5 winners in 24 hours! that's tomorrow at 7pm!

And as a bonus, thanks again to Mai for this video, this memory that I'll have forever, the opening of the envelope (she intercepted the courier who came to bring me the book... a fairy, this girl...).
