My little darlings,

I hope you're well! Here's an easy DIY for you to keep your fingers busy this summer. To make with your children, for a birthday party, or a wedding, ice creams to garnish with confetti, glitter and even candy. And as usual, don't forget to transpose these ideas, and imagine these ice cream cones in XL, to make surprise bags! I'd love to make you a giant ice-cream cone pinata too... I'm full of cravings as usual! I've also got a hankering for change, like changing the background for the Do it yourselfs, here I've tried cork, but why not do it with colored backgrounds... A hankering for change I tell you, and what would you like as new backgrounds?

A big kiss for you, my little cats...

For this DIY you'll need :

  • - The ice cream pattern to download here (the dotted lines correspond to the folds)
  • - Download the cone pattern here
  • - Confetti or sequins
  • - Scissors
  • - Glue
  • - Blunt scalpel
  • - A small ruler

Use the ruler and blunt scalpel to trace the folding lines of the ice cream scoops. You can find them on the pattern if you need to.

Start folding each edge, and don't forget the little tabs that will enable you to glue everything together.

Gently manipulate your first scoop of ice cream while it's still flat, paying particular attention to each edge.

Apply glue to the tabs (one at a time for a clean result), then glue with the corresponding side - you'll see, it's very instinctive. Hold both sides firmly and allow up to 5 seconds for the glue to set.

Continue in this way on all sides, but remember to keep one last triangle open if you want to fill your ball with confetti.

Repeat until you have enough ice cream balls. Then take the half circle you'll use to form the cone.

Wrap the half-circle around itself, keeping in mind that your ball of ice cream must fit within the diameter of your cone (imagine you're making a small, pointed party hat), and secure your cone with glue.

Prepare several cones, then once ready, place glue inside to secure your first scoop of ice cream.

Apply glue to one side of the ball, then stick the second side on top.

Then glue the third, which will remain open at the top, for surprises.

Place confetti inside, then close by folding the triangle. Repeat with the other cones.
