Happy Friday my little cats!

Today it's Lila's sewing pattern turn! I'm not telling you anything about the Lila skirt, I think I told you everything yesterday, even at the other end of the planet it's so cute it's currently on my bottom! As for making it, it's really not rocket science, in fact it's downright easy, although the difficulty lies in the number of parts needed to give it its distinctive cut! But it's not insurmountable, I promise, and if you have a Post-it pad and a pen, everything will go smoothly... I advise you to cut out the pattern pieces on the right side of the fabric, otherwise you'll get lost, and as you cut out your pieces, pin your Post-it notes with the names of your pieces!

For the fabric, I'd recommend something a little thick, that holds together well, such as denim canvas, cotton gabardine and why not a colorful Neoprene. I think on a skirt you can go a bit wild with color! However, if you choose a fairly light fabric, I'd advise you to iron it to give it more hold, and then since Lolita, Rosa and even Malia lining holds no secrets for you! So let's get on with it, and this time we'll even try a sheath lining! I assure you that even for me it was a piece of cake! Lila is the kind of skirt you sew yourself on Sundays to go to work on Mondays...

Important information about this Lena:

  • You can buy the sewing pattern in its beautiful packaging, complete with explanatory booklet and label. herefor 14.90 euros.
  • You can download the pattern in PDF for 2.99 euros, now with the integrated sewing booklet! Feel free to click on the little number "2" on the product sheet for the location of the sheets, but otherwise it's integrated into the pattern. Still printable on A4 and US letter.
  • The pattern's degree of difficulty is: "easy, Emile", if you don't make the lining, but you can spice it up with a sheath lining!
  • For this skirt, the largest size requires 1.40m of fabric consumption in a 1m40-width fabric (classic width) or 1.80m for a 1m10 fabric. The same amount in iron-on (if needed) and 6 snaps or other buttons. We advise you to make this skirt in a fabric that really holds together, or even in unlined denim for those in a hurry!
  • Here's a reminder: in all patterns Wear Lemonadepatterns, the seam allowance is included in the pattern and is one centimetre (except when there are English seams, but don't panic, in that case it's written in black and white on the pattern)!
  • And if you're in a sewing panic, don't hesitate to leave a comment on the community page!

And as this is our last pattern in the "can't take my eyes off of you" collection, we've slipped in our famous golden ticket! And this time, if you find one of your Lila patterns (only), you could win a Wanda trench coat, a Lena dress as well as a Sonia t-shirt and Belinda panties (in the color of your choice): my very own Wear Lemonade outfit, worth 380 euros, so my cats, are you ready? A big kiss from the other side of the planet!
