I don't know whether to say "Merry Christmas" on the 24th or the 25th? I'm not sure, but I'd like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas, and I hope you're well looked after and spoiled...

Today I'd like to wish my Mum a wonderful Christmas, because more than any gift I wish her all the success she deserves: that everyone snatch up her book, delight in her characters and devour her novel like a good clementine... And yes my little Mum, a few months ago finished her novel, "Half a Grapefruit". published by Editions du net. I had a hard time opening it, as if never afraid of what I'd find inside. What if I didn't like it? What if it was too autobiographical?

I didn't know what I was going to find, I knew it was about crossed destinies inspired by her own story, but I didn't know to what extent she had sprinkled her fiction with reality. I read it, and even re-read it! A joy, reading it in one go the second time and savoring all the little expressions and crisp details of the characters. I'm so proud of her... I know even if she's being secretive that she's writing her second, politically incorrect novel, and I can't wait to dive into this next book.

In the meantime, I'd like to wish you a Merry Christmas, Mum, and I hope you enjoy this illustration for "Half a grapefruit". I love you like a castle, your lemon daughter...
