Hello my little woodland cats!

We've decided to make little pennants for you, so that you don't lose sight of the good resolutions you've made! You don't need to be an expert with a needle or rice stitch, just follow the step-by-step instructions, launch the Year of Zapping and everything will be just fine! I'm delighted to meet you again on Wednesdays for this little Do It Yourself and hope to make this day our new creative rendez-vous of the week! Relax your ten fingers, gather your materials for this weekend and put the finishing touches to your office decor...
Hugs and kisses!

For this DIY, you'll need:

  • - Files to download and print here,
  • - Felt in different colors,
  • - Spools of thread in different colors,
  • - some white flock paper or white felt or flock paper...
  • - A pair of scissors,
  • - glue,
  • - needle,
  • - embroidery thread.

To get started: download, print and cut out all the pieces!

Now transfer all the pieces to the felt (trace them upside down to make sure you don't get any pen marks on the visible side of your felt when you turn it over)! Take heart! For the lettering, transfer it to the matt side of the flock paper and cut it out!

Place your various elements. You can fix them with a dot of glue to make it easier to follow (only apply glue to the center of the pieces so as not to glue your needle afterwards). For the lettering, make sure the shiny side is facing you. Iron for a few seconds! If you don't have flocking paper, you can make the lettering in white felt and embroider it.

Once your felt is cold, peel off the film!

Now take your needle and matching thread and start embroidering, using small, closely-spaced stitches as evenly as possible. Do this all over your pennant! Take your time, sit back and enjoy a good movie... For the swimsuit ties, I invite you to make a chain stitch !

All that's left is to embroider the links with a few stitches to secure them. And Ta-Da!
