Hello my little kitties!

Today we are going to talk about food! After the place, you probably know that food is the second most important point in a wedding! Feeding all your friends and family with food that represents your personality… was not easy at all! My love is a gourmet and he is very good at cooking so it was a real challenge. I did not want to have a seated dinner to see our guests spending the night waiting for their dishes, and I think it is very complicated to find a good creative caterer able to organize the perfect dinner… I wanted something good and fun with flavors we all love…

Thanks to Aurelie, our wonderful wedding planner, we discovered Claire and Jerome and their 20 peas restaurants! It was a lovely surprise and I think they perfectly understood what we wanted: small portions to eat with fingers so that we can try and taste everything! We also knew that the average age would be 35/40 so we though it would be nice to have a burger bar… Beef, chicken, pork, and vegetarian burgers, and gluten free for everyone. It is now very popular to eat “gluten free” but I can assure you that we digest far better with gluten free bread so it is easier to eat a second burger! The size of the burgers was perfect: not too big, not too small, and very tasty… All served with lime and paprika fried sweet potatoes or parsnip fries with Parmesan…

At 20 peas, they do not only make burgers. In their two restaurants, they propose ephemeral menus that change depending on their inspiration and the fresh products deliveries. I recommend them to you if you would like to have an healthy breakfast or if you are looking for a creative caterer for your events!

More than the burgers, they also made some nice little starters:

• Focaccia green tomatoes, mascarpone, basil and pistachios,
• Burrata with parsley and garlic, avocado cream, feta and pecans,
• Courgette/Zucchini with Parmesan,
• Jerusalem artichokes cakes, pecans and rosemay, and so on…

For the dessert, we had a wedding cake but also:

• Cheesecake with homemade jam,
• Chocolate/Orange polenta cake,
• Blackberry and pistachios cake,
• Later on… the waffles machine was working very well!

As they are so adorable at 20 peas, they share with you their burger bread recipe (with or without gluten) that you can do in your own oven; you do not need to use a bread machine! 

Recipe for a dozen of burgers:

• - 680g of flour T55 or rice flour (gluten free)
• - 2 tablespoons of organic baking powder (cubes)
• - 4 tablespoons of sugar
• - 2 tablespoons of salt
• - 50g of melted butter
• - 250g of water
• - 200g of milk
• - 4 egg yolks

*EDIT*: Preheat your oven at 220°C. In a small bowl, melt the solid backing powder (cube) with a little milk. In another bowl, introduce all the dry ingredients. Then, add into the mixture what you just prepared in the small bowl. Start to knead the dough by hand or with a robot adding progressively the egg yolks. Add butter and water and continue to knead. Add the rest of milk and knead until you obtain an homogeneous mixture. Leave it to cool and put the dough during 1h30 into an oiled bowl covered by a damp cloth. After that, create around 10 small balls that are going to become your burger buns. Leave them to rise for 1h. In a small bowl, mix a little milk and a bit of egg yolk together (if your still have some but it also works without egg yolk). With a silicone brush, paint your buns and put them into the over from 10 to 12 minutes! Enjoy!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Today we are going to talk about a sensitive topic: the wedding dress. The dress I wore for the second day was not white: she had sequins on it. I wanted to play the game because I have always dreamt of a siren dress, between Jessica Roger Rabbit and the Brigitte styles. Moreover, I always have confetti on my face or in my hair. I cannot explain, and it makes my love smiles. One day, while we were talking about the wedding, I told him that the guests could wear white outfits because I would not wear only white for the ceremony. I actually saw myself wearing a pearl grey dress with embroidered stars (Valentino style). He answered me: “You are not going to wear a sequined dress, are you?” What a good idea!! Then, I played on different shades of grey…

One day, in a shooting photo we organized (the pictures are going to be posted on the blog very soon), I wore a Tara Jarmon dress with pink sequins. It was incredible. I wore it and I did not want to take it off because she was perfect with its cut low in the back and its little belt. We immediately loved each other. It was this dress but in pink so I contacted them and I could get it: the Beyonce fan siren dress in light silver. Perfect!

I was also very lucky because Karuna Balloo is now creating wedding “headbands” and she gave me this amazing metal and silk flowered crown but also ear cuffs. I did not know if I would wear the ear cuffs or not but while dressing up, Fred convinced me… He was right because it was very nice!

This time, I did my make up. I wanted something very soft because the sequined dress, the glittered heels, the metal flowered crown and my hair extensions were enough (as you can see, I have no miracle secret for my hair, just a wonderful hairdresser).

Today, more than showing you the dress, I will also share a nice DIY as a bonus: how to realize your own wedding dress suit bag made in your family embroidered linen sheets. I have this sheet for many years and my mom always told me: “I give it to you but you cannot cut it”. Obviously, I really wanted to cut it. I knew she would not be mad at me if it were for the good cause: to make my wedding dresses suit bag…

For this DIY you need:

• - an embroidered linen sheet
• - scissors
• - a sewing machine
• - a hanger, a ruler and a pencil

To start, cut a rectangle: 15cm larger than your hanger but also longer than your dress. Then, cut 2 other rectangles as long as your dress and as large as the middle of your hanger +20cm… Hem (2 folds: you can find a reminder here) on all the length of the half rectangles (on one side) to prepare the opening of the suit bag.

Once the hems preformed, sew them thanks to a sewing machine. Put the big rectangle and the two “half rectangles” right sides together. Then pin the two bigger sides.

Also pin the bottom of the suit bag and for the top, preform a fold with the iron and just pin it. Sew the bottom of the suit bag with the sewing machine and you can put a zigzag stitch to be sure.

Take the hanger and place it on the top of the suit bag. Draw the hanger with the pencil and the ruler on the suit bag.

Pin on the pencil marks and sew with the sewing machine (normal stitch and then a zigzag one). Cut the surplus (1cm above the seams).

Turn the suit bag inside out and place your hanger inside.

Hide your dress inside and here we are! I send you big kisses!

Hello my little kitties,

I hope you are feeling well! Today I will talk to you about one of my favorite topic: stationary! I am a big fan of nice cards, I even have a huge collection at home that I keep religiously and when I am not okay, I just open the box as if Pinterest was real. It gives me energy and inspires me. Each time I see these cards differently and I love finding inspiration in there. For my wedding, I really wanted something special!

Some time ago, when the book "Dis moi Oui" written by Elodie and Anne Solange has been published, I met Sarah, their graphic designer. This girl is just awesome and full of ideas! Few months later, I heard that she was the owner of the creative studio: Studio Mister M that produces these lovely cards, invitations and inkpads. During the preparation of the wedding, we saw each other again and I talked to her about our weddings invitations. However, while explaining to her, I thought it would be too complicated for her to do it because I really had a precise idea of what I wanted and it also excited me to do it myself. Nevertheless, I really wanted to mix both our personalities so we decided to imagine together a complete cards collection for the wedding.

After a Pinterest session on a common board, Sarah drew some sketches of the collection. She loves stripes and I am a polka dots addict… We first started to create something very graphic but I finally wanted to have a lemony touch, to match with the image of Make My Lemonade. Sarah automatically understood and created a yellow/black/white line that I just love and I really wanted to have a nice typography as if someone wrote with a brush… I think stationary is really part of our wedding decoration. Now it is time to go on Sarah’s website to find the theme of your wedding and order your “Save the date”!

The “Frida and Pierrot” collection I am showing you right now will be available online very soon on Sarah’s website: Studio Mister M. You can also meet her at the "Andy" alternative wedding festival on the 7^th of November!

On my side, I could not resist to show you the cards I realized for our wedding… The theme was all about the moon and blue shades! I am very “cosmic” these past days, you will see, and I did not want to do something too girly because I was not the only one to get married and even if Thomas trusted me, it was better to have a mixed design for the cards.

In each kraft envelopes, we put silver confetti to give some magic to our guests’ daily routine, and they obviously have been very HAPPY (their neighbors too)… It was also a little clue concerning my glitter dress…

We also made some embroidered patches as sugared almonds that we put into paper boxes. We used this Belgian website for the patches, the quality is very good and they are very quick, I recommend you them!

The letter was composed by a main invitation for the district office and the lay ceremony/party, one ticket to the moon with an access plan to go to the ceremony, a small card for the dress code, and lots of confetti! We printed everything at Magenta Color, one of the best in Paris.

Happy Monday my little kitties!

In this first post of the week, we are going to focus on details! Yesterday, I was talking about being organized and taking care of each detail during the preparation of a wedding, because so many things are out of control (fortunately). However, if you are a “control freak” too, it can be nice to think about everything, just to surprise your guests. To focus on the contrast with the under construction ultra modern house, I wanted to have ancient tableware that does not necessarily match… I think I have spent some many hours on American wedding websites, and for me, the finishing touch was china and crystal tableware to complete this poetic ambiance: the romantic touch to soften the raw space…

After some researches on Internet, I found the company run by Marine and Jeremy, two friends who started the entrepreneurship adventure with the concept of rental vintage tableware: www.vaisselle-vintage.com. After Marine’s wedding, she got the idea. Indeed, she found all the necessary tableware for this event months before the D-Day. Once the wedding over, she did not know what to do with all this nice tableware. Sell it? Better! Rent it in kit so that everyone can enjoy it. You can rent guests kits with 2 plates, 3 glasses, cutlery, cup and saucer for €3 per person (starting price) but you can also add one or two options for crystal glasses.

Marine and Jeremy came to the office to present us their concept and during one afternoon, we have created a festive table with their tableware. I wanted to have a table with audacious colors such as orange, purple, and sea green on some plates… All the tableware comes from their website, the tablecloth is from Ikea, the bouquet from the wonderful Debeaulieu florist. In the glasses (because I am sure you are wondering what it is) you can find blackberry cordial from Ikea, and in the small glasses it is Aperol… You can obviously use some fruits as decoration. Here we chose clementines from Corsica because you can use the leaves to write the name of your guests on! I send you big kisses and see you tomorrow for a stationary post!

Happy Sunday my little kitties,

I wanted to thank you for your words and comments on the previous post, I always love reading you! Thank you! Today, I am going to show you a DIY I really like. During the wedding preparation, my friends told me to stay organized and to anticipate every detail of the D-Day. As I am a control freak, I like this type of advice. I knew that during these two wedding days, things will happen and I will not be able to control everything so I tried to take care of the esthetic details as much as I could.

I knew we would take “preparation” pictures and I did not want to wear my old bathrobe that is not that white anymore so I thought this kimono DIY would be a great idea. I talked to Laure about it, the queen of the patterns, and we imagined an easy pattern so that you can create your own kimono for the D-Day. This one is made in lace and satin cotton but you can also do it in different colors for everyday life.

For this DIY, you need:

• - to download the pattern here (for free), print it and cut it.
• - 2.5m of fabric: if you use lace, I advise you to take a “stronger” fabric for the neckline, cuffs, belt and pockets.
• - a sewing machine
• - pins and love

Cut the different pieces following the pattern. If your fabric is not large enough, do not hesitate to do the belt and the neckline in two different parts. Same for the “body” of the kimono, you can cut it in two parts: two for the front and one for the back. However, do not forget to add the seam allowance on the top line (shoulders and sleeves) and to put these pieces together first! More explanations here.

Fold the kimono in two following the shoulders and sleeves line so that the front and the back parts can be on both reverse sides because exceptionally we are going to do a backstitch seam! Pin bellow the armholes (the curved part) and sew at 0.5cm.

Once the seam done, fold again on the right sides and pin to hide the previous seam.

Sew at 1cm. Here we are! Your first backstitch seam is done! You can also hem the bottom of the kimono (1cm twice).

For the cuffs, right sides together, pin the two smaller sides and sew at 1cm. Then, iron opening the seam.

All around the cuff, only on one side, fold and iron the seam allowance  (1cm). Then, take the other side, pin it right sides together with the bottom sleeve of the kimono.

Sew at 1cm all around. Fold the cuff in two, and pin it hiding the freeboard you just sewed inside the two cuff fabric parts.

Pin to maintain everything together and then sew (using a sewing machine) from 0.5cm of the cuff interior edge. The finishing touches will be perfect!

Iron a lot to make everything flat. Do the same with the other cuff and then start the neckline. Sew at 1cm, right sides together, the neckline and the edges, and then fold the bottom of the neckline so that it fits with the bottom of the kimono. Fold the seam allowance with an iron on the other big side, same as for the cuffs.

Fold the neckline in two and fix it with pins. Then, sew at 0.5cm all around.

For the pockets, fold the seam allowances with an iron. On the top of the pocket, fold 1cm and then 4cm inward. Maintain the pleat with a seam. Place the pocket on the front side of the kimono and pin it. Sew the three edges at 0.5cm.

Do not forget the belt! Here we are!

Hello my kitties!

Here is a new post in the “meet” section… with Fanny B!
Fanny, Fanny… Where to start? People often say that I always follow my instinct and that I am too emotional… Unfortunately, I do not really know how to do things differently, in my work or meetings! And this blog is a real source of meetings! One day, I took my courage in both hands and asked Fanny Boucher for an interview. At the beginning, we both were a bit shy but we finally met each other again and again. If I were 7, I would probably ask her if she would like to be my friend but I am currently 27 so it takes time. We finally got to know each other after few breakfasts and atelier visits. 

Anyway, I also met Fanny because I was looking for my wedding rings. I did not want them to be very expensive but I definitely wanted something different and beautiful. My friend Lili (who is also in the “meet” section) told me to go on Fanny’s website: Gemmyo. She said: “it is very nice and I am sure you will find something you like”. Gemmyo, this name was familiar to me but then I forgot about it. One day I saw the famous pink cat on advertising in the metro. It was the revelation, and I knew I would find something on this website.

I meet Fanny for her rings, but I really like Fanny, for her career, strength, ideas, words and kindness. She talks about patience better than anybody else… She told me her story with Gemmyo, the brand she founded with Charif Malek and Pauline. She is the creative heart of the brand. Gemmyo, for those who do not really know, is all about a jeweller and gemstones. On the website, we buy virtual jewelry that are produced in France. The jewel you receive is even more beautiful in real life than the one in your computer screen because you bought a 3D image! The brand has no gemstones stock, only fresh deliveries depending on the clients’ orders! You are now probably wondering, “How do we do for the sizes?” They automatically send you (and for free) a ring size chart so that you can know which size you have to order! Anyway, I am a huge fan and I am sure you will be able to see my wedding ring on the next DIYs! Moreover, some jewelry can be engraved…

• - “Important question”: Can you tell us more about your career?

I did a preparatory class (hypokhâgne and khâgne) in a Parisian High School. I was not very happy there but I decided to continue my studies anyway! Three years later, and after spending two years studying German philosophy, I wanted to have a break and develop my senses. I travelled to India with some friends and I stayed there for 7 years. I discovered the gemstones world by chance after coming back from Kashmir by bus. I went to the Gem Palace, the legendary jeweller of Jaipur. I spent a winter working there and then I really did not want to leave: I was so happy. My job consisted in being “the eyes” of the creators who wanted to buy gemstones in India: I chose gemstones for them, prepared them and spent my days in the ateliers following the jewelry preparation. After few years, I started to draw my own pieces and I launched my brand: Honorine Jewels. I also studied gemology and four years ago I co-founded Gemmyo. At the beginning, I only took care of the stones but last year, my associates asked me to be the creative director. We did not have one and we wanted Gemmyo to have a soul.

• - “Bridge question”: From philosophy to gemstones, is there only one step?

Yes! I say goodbye to the real to focus on the beautiful. It can definitely inspire my khâgne ex-classmates an irresistible dissertation: is looking for the beautiful can bring us to the real? Some philosophes and religious schools of thought think yes and so do I.

• - “Analytic question”: Are the gemstones a kind of sparkling way out? If you were gone to Mongolia during this period of your life and that someone would ask you to breed sheep, would you become a virgin wool producer?

I often ask myself! If I were gone to Brazil, would I be working now in a pousada in Jericoacoara? It is an endless game and it would be even funnier with some Moscow mules. In reality, I am someone Cartesian but I have to admit something: before arriving to Jaipur, I knew I would stay there for a long time: a strange certitude that attracted me to this city as if it was written.

• - “Guru question”: What inspire you the most in your life? What is your mantra?

The beautiful! It does not inspire me; it feeds me. If you disconnect the drip, I fade away.

• - “Guidance counselor question”: If you had enough time to learn new things, what would you like to do?

I would like to have my driving license.

• - “Sky is the limit question”: What is the craziest jewel you have ever made?

“Polki” oversized diamonds earrings that go to the shoulder and mix with hair: amazing! One of my Indian friends bought them.

• - “Trick question”: What is the worst gift someone can offer you?

A solitaire ring.

• - “Secret question”: What is the question you would like someone to ask you? (never asked before)

People ask me lots of questions. As I speak a lot because my job is a real passion for me, it is hard to imagine which question someone still can ask me.

• - “Memories question”: What is your first jewel memory?

My mom’s golden necklace I used to play a lot with. The jeweller had to fix it all the time. 

• - “Peter Pan question”: Which job did you want to do as a kid?

I had no idea. I really envy people who knew at an early age what they wanted to do because they could focus on it to succeed.

• - “Survival question”: If you could bring one object with you on the Moon, what would it be?

The rocket keys?

• - “Medium question”: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I will live between a big city and a pink house at a lakeside with my German husband, my blue eyes kids and my little ponies. I will draw jewelry in my super modern studio and I will go to India once a year to cut my gemstones. I will have 40s rings on each finger, an Ikat wallpapered bookcase and thanks to transplant I will have learnt Italian and Farsi. I will also tell my children about the time we were all addicted to something very retro now, called Instagram.

Let’s continue the week with some music my little kitties,

To tell you everything, I am so lucky because my ex Radiooooo roommates, who are now my friends, took care of the music during the party and it was so cool! I could not believe the songs they played. When I went outside to have some fresh air, I heard a song I love and I ran inside to go dancing again! So magical! For those of you who do not know, you can listen to different kind of music on Radiooooo.com from different periods of time. Yes, you just have to choose the decade you want (from 1900) but also a specific country and you can listen the selection they made for you. They really look for the best songs ever!

The music was a real topic we discussed about these past weeks… What is going to be my “entrance” song, what is going to be our first song on the dancefloor? And at the dinner room floor, what kind of music can we listen to? For this reason, we made a playlist with all my friends and lemonade team lovers. To decorate the dancefloor, we hung white electric lights as if it was a starry sky that we switch off progressively during the night… because thanks to Elodie from Un beau jour I know that to make a great party, you need a good light, soft enough to be the king/queen of dance... and to add a festive touch, some silver XXL confetti and little stars to contrast with the concrete floor slab!

Hello my little chestnuts!

I am in love with flowers, real ones above all but I can also fall in love with the silk flowers from Karuna. About floral art, I am not an expert. I know how to associate colors but I do not always remember the name of each flower… I really enjoy buying random flowers and create my own bouquets… It is not that easy to find a good florist in Paris, affordable and creative at the same time, so I prefer to bring all the flowers I want at the studio and do everything myself instead of being disappointed by a foliage or a too girly packaging. Some time ago, I had the opportunity to go to Rungis to buy some flowers for an event and I really wanted to go back to make my own floral compositions for my wedding place. When we talk about Rungis, we talk about waking up at 2 in the morning to be there at 3… And the day before your wedding, it is not recommended to go for night floral expeditions.

Last July, I met Clement and Arthur, the founders of Bloom's and it was the revelation! These two cousins decided to revolutionize the online sale of flowers. They mainly focused on DIY and seasonal flowers. How does it work? On their website, you just need to choose your flowers, foliage and the size of your bouquet, in order to receive 48 hours later your box and create your own bouquet(s).  These guys are very generous and you can really create various small compositions… The prices are affordable (from €18) and the flowers are fresh. It is different from all the other classic flowers delivery websites where the bouquets pictures are usually, as the burgers in McDonald’s, very different from those you buy… If you do not know what to choose, you also have monthly subscriptions to receive the seasonal selections of flowers at home… They are so nice, they even came to the studio and we felt in love with them. We gave them our flowers consumers’ and Internet addicted opinions. Moreover, we thought it would be a good idea to do floral DIYs together sometimes! Then, I wondered “and if Bloom’s decorated my wedding?” Thus, we realized together dozens and dozens of bouquets, buttonholes, tables decorations, and so on… Two days before the wedding, the studio was transformed in a giant flowers shop and we learnt all together how to make twisted bouquets… It was a really good moment!

As I told you, we had for the wedding an incredible place, an architect house over 5 floors (we only used 3). It was under construction but it was okay, we had electricity and water… There were windows all around the building so we had an amazing view of Paris. We had to find some tricks to decorate this atypical place. The only thing I knew was that I wanted many flowers for the contrast. It was also difficult to find the good furniture because I really wanted to keep this contrast of modern/retro. We rented our chairs that were used for the lay ceremony and the dinner but also the rattan chairs, tables and candleholders found on the La bohème website. Some time ago, I saw two Emmanuelle chairs on the Un beau Jour website and I really had a crush on them. I really wanted them for our under the moon ceremony…

There is a very easy DIY to decorate a rattan chair with flowers. You need plastic tubes to prepare your chair in advance and keep your flowers fresh for the D-Day!

Yesterday, you asked me if my bridesmaids were dressed in a particular way. No, they were not. They just had a nice round bouquet, with a green hydrangea in the middle, and carnations, roses, thistles and gypsophila all around… At the beginning, I wanted them to be dressed the same way but it was very difficult to convince 5 different personalities. They were perfect anyway! However, at the district council, they surprised me because they all came wearing the Nina jumpsuit! These girls are amazing.

About the decoration, I am sure you are wondering what is on the chairs… These are little booklets in which the speeches of all the ceremony protagonists were written and translated in French and English. I have no idea how they did this but I guess it was a huge challenge to gather and translate everything! At the end of the ceremony, everyone took his/her chair and went to the lower floor for the dinner: “the dinner room”. I use quotation marks because we did not think about a seating plan. We placed the tables as if we were in a café, with a bouquet on each of them in vintage vases (I will talk about this later) so that everyone can seat wherever they wanted… I hope these little ideas will inspire you but I think the most important is to listen your wants. If you do your decoration with passion, everything will be nice, even if it looks a bit strange at the beginning… Believe me, the bride under the moon, sitting on flowered rattan chairs for her wedding which dress code was all about the shades of blue in an under construction house!

Hello my birds!

I hope you are fine… For about 10 days, the blog was on an autopilot mode. I am not back from my holidays/honeymoon yet. However, I slowly start to write again on the blog. I received hundreds of pictures of the wedding and it keeps me more on more in my lovely paradise, as it was the case these 10 past days. At the beginning, I did not really know how to talk about the wedding on the blog. How to show and explain you this magic but personal moment! Obviously, it was a real pleasure to organize this event, so I decided to write a bit about it here as I usually do for all the things I love. As I told you, it is very personal and I am not sure that my family and friends really would like to appear on Internet… For this reason, I wanted to tell you more about my meetings, new DIYs, nice addresses, crush and surprises I had the chance to live/do/create/enjoy during the organization of this event!

At the beginning, I thought it was a bit simple to say that our wedding was the more beautiful day of our lives… To me, the best day of my life was the day I receive my first K.BIS or maybe when I received my first book. Anyway, something concrete… About the wedding, I did not want to have a meringue dress, a veil, small characters on the top of the cake, French bean sticks with duck magret and even less a church. We made it our way and as you can imagine, time goes so fast during these moments but it is also a huge amount of love! I received so many smiles, sweet words, kisses and good vibes… And I think it is finally the most beautiful day of my life.

This would not have been possible without my first meeting crush: Aurelie C… This fairy organizes events better than anyone. She is not afraid of anything and keeps smiling even if there is a power cut 1 hour before the party starts. I met her at the 10 years party of Café Mode, the blog of Geraldine Dormoy, where I had the chance to be part of one of the roundtables. Aurelie organized the event and it was just amazing! It was the 18^th of June and I had no idea at this time, how or where our wedding will take place 3 months later… I talked to Geraldine and she put so much pressure on me without even knowing it. She gave me Aurelie’s phone number and it literally helped me sleep again: an iron fist in a velvet glove. We finally became friends and we love having a drink in little bars in Pigalle late at night talking about everything but the wedding… What I love about Aurelie is that she can organize Events with a big E and not only weddings. She is a wedding planner by necessity but she organizes happy meetings above all… We spoke the same language. We organized a huge party, with intense moments in a crazy place for 100 people who just wanted to celebrate love. For this reason, I strongly recommend you the delicious and talented Aurelie for your wedding, birthday, diner before leaving to Bermuda, press event, she knows everything from the smallest events to the amazing ones. I could not have been as calm as I was without her… I advise you to keep preciously her email somewhere: [email protected]!

I did not take a day off or holidays to prepare the wedding and I really started to think about the preparation at the end of June. By the way, in my personal life I am always doing everything at the last minute. In August, when I went to Canada, I did not have a place booked for the wedding. Fortunately, when I came back and thanks to the wonderful Aurelie, we had the chance to visit an amazing house with garden and moldings in Courbevoie, a small castle. Three weeks before the wedding, the owner cancelled the reservation. In these moments, I bless my father because he taught me the sweet mantra: “there is no problems, only solutions”. After a deep breath and few jokes to low the pressure, Aurelie found a crazy place inside Paris, an architect house at Denfert-Rochereau. As we both left everything for the capital, getting married in Paris was a bit magical and unexpected. As everyone told me that time goes really fast during these moments, we decided to organize the event over two days to make the happiness last and really enjoy this special event (and try to see everyone). The Friday was dedicated to the district council (the 19^th) and we had an improvised drink in the buttes Chaumont. During the night, with my closest friends and family who came especially for the event, we went to the lemonade studio for a little cocktail reception. On the day after, we decorated the Denfert house and we organized a lay ceremony, a dinner and we partied! 2 days, 2 dresses, lots of hair, and more love and energy than ever for this new fresh start! We were very lucky because on the 2^nd and 3^rd of October, it was summer again for 48 hours. I am definitely convinced that I have a lucky star somewhere…

I hope you will like it. I will talk to you more about decoration and fashion these next days. I wore the Lolita dress from Wear Lemonade made in an off-white satin cotton fabric (the pattern is available again online!) with a little lucky blue button in the back that Delphine Manivet gave me, and the most incredible Gordana Dimitrijevic shoes in the world. The lemony bouquet made with flowers from Bloom's by myself the day before, DIY forever. I also had the chance to get my hair done by Cut by Fred, the god of scissors and my make up by my lovely friend Nelly from the blog Make My Beauty. Getting prepared with people I love was a good start for the best weekend of my life.

Hello my birds!

We stay in a pink and silver theme because I promised you to show you more about the adventures with Jonak. I think the preparation part is the most exciting one actually: the prototypes, fittings, modifications, the whole construction of the collection, the new drawings, cuts, it is so good! Sometimes, I realize that I will not have enough days in my life to try all the different jobs I love and it is very frustrating…but I have to admit that since I started this project with Jonak, drawing shoes and clothes is finally what I love the most in my life… Obviously, if it would be successful, that would be the cherry on the cake but it is not what I would remember of this experience.

Say hello to the Diego boots, the loves of my life, I cleaned my closet for you and I am so impatient to welcome you there my precious.

I do not think that I told you this before, but I am crazy about details. If it is not perfect, I do not like that and we start again. If it is not perfect but we do not have time to go back, I am in a bad mood for days blaming myself. Thus, I try not to make the same mistakes again. Sometimes, I do not even have time to blame myself because life goes faster and we have to move on very quickly. For this shoe collection, I did not want to find myself in this kind of situation. I wanted it to be perfect down to the smallest details because you do not have the opportunity to create a shoe collection everyday! We took our time to do the right thing, even if we had to start over because we wanted more coherence. I fought for the polka dot lining, the color of the soles and with Marie, the Creative Director, we went to Portugal to follow the production of the models… and so on.

I am very lucky because Marie is also crazy about details and it is very nice because we agreed on almost everything, she could finish my sentences and vice versa! We are on the same page and it was a real pleasure to work with someone as perfectionist. The shoes you can see on the pictures are not the final ones, only prototypes. Some models have been cancelled and all the shoes are not presented in this post… I want to surprise you! In the next post, I will show you some pictures of the shooting we have done with Pauline Darley, a short video too but also the making off that I have been able to film in Porto in the Jonak factory!

You will find 7 models in the collection; I listened to you in my previous post so it is going to be 7 crazy must have pair of shoes (indispensable for your closet)… If you read Friday’s post, you already know that the shoes will perfectly fit with the next Wear Lemonade collection! I can assure you that we never have enough glitter or pink shoes… Get ready because the 30^th of October the collection will be available online and also in few Jonak stores. I will tell you more about it soon!

Hello my little buttered hearts!

No Happy Friday today, but we are going to talk about clothes anyway and I am going to give you a little preview of the next collection! Yeah! I cannot hide you how impatient I am! What did we say about impatience Miss Gachet? Okay, I calm down. Anyway, these Wear Lemonade adventure is so crazy and could not be possible without you, so it is normal to show you a sneak peek. No, I am not looking for excuses! Let me introduce to you the “To the moon” collection and the first pieces are going to be sold on the 27^th of October! The current collection will be online until the 26^th of October at night!

While imaging this collection, we decided to have a different approach this time because I am starting to know you and I have to admit that you are not as “kamikaze” as I am in terms of colorful associations… For this reason, we decided to slow down a little bit at the lemonade studio: only few touches of pink, some softer pieces, more poetic too, we focused on details and cuts. It is awesome to learn with you, follow your reasoning while choosing a piece of cloth. I also like the fact that you can wear Wear Lemonade clothes every day, more easily.

Some time ago, I met my love but I also became addicted to stars and the moon because of him… It was not really difficult to convince me actually and thanks to him, I organized a Pierrot the moon special week last year… This theme really represents me for years and I just love flounces around necklines each time I saw one in a shop, moon backgrounds, and so on… Then, I also watched again some Wes Anderson movies and I do not know why but I found connections and I draw the collection very naturally. Some pieces are very comfortable but also feminine, made in nice and soft fabrics such as rare pile velvets, silk, embroideries and flocked stars… The whole collection is not present in this post but you have a huge preview by the way! I hope you will like it! I cannot wait to read your comments!

Hello my little kitties!

I am writing you this post from my Greek sweet paradise, where we decided to stay a bit longer… We said “Yes I do” last Friday and Saturday with Thomas (twice is better…). I do not have the words right now to describe how magic it was, we went to the moon, it is certain… Thank you for your messages, thoughts, kindness, it is so good! I will not hide you that I do not really want to get out of this dream for the moment, but fortunately we prepared you some nice posts before I left so that you will always have your lemon dose! I will tell you more about this lovely moment next week but right now I want to keep it for us.

Today, we are going to do a decoration DIY, headier than a chocolate spring or going for a hike with a unicorn… I almost cannot wait to be back at the office to see these little boxes again. The plexiglas box to “break” in case of good (or bad) news… You can play with the content and choose colorful confetti for a child room, sand “to break is case of holidays” for the office… Have fun!

There are different ways to realize the lettering. The better one is to ask a printer to do it on a black sticker, with a transparent background and at the real size of your plexiglas box. If you have a silhouette “printer” (same as our Michel, I need to introduce him to you) you can also cut directly your black sticker using transfer paper for stickers. Another method, you can print your text and then transfer it by hand with a posca pen or a black permanent one. I cannot wait to see your creations!

For this DIY you need:

• - Transparent plexiglas boxes: I found mine at the BHV in Paris
• - Scissors
• - Flat pliers
• - Masking tape
• - A lighter
• - A nail or a screw
• - Confetti, glitter and others!

Use flat pliers to hold the screw and heat it with a lighter.

Once the screw is very hot, put in on the plexiglas box to make a hole. It will be used to fix the box.

Fill the box with confetti (as you can see, a bowl is not enough!).

Close the box and use a nice masking tape to fix the lid so that it is waterproof (if you do not want to see your flat full of confetti, but it is up to you!).

Time to put the text on the box depending on the method you chose.

Stick the lettering and then unstick the transparent film. Here we are!!!
