I hope you’re having a lovely week! Promise me that you won’t let the weather get you down and that we’ll keep in touch online to get our dose of summer! I’m surprised we were able to do this sunny photoshoot in the middle of April! I don’t ever really pay attention to the weather, I like to tease my umbrella by wearing wedge espadrille heels, a flowy shirt, and a high waisted shorts. It’s my way of being optimistic. If I act like it’s springtime, the sun will come out. I promise you, this technique worked for snow this winter while skiing. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for summer. Speaking of shorts, today we’re releasing Carlotta, THE shorts that you’ve been asking for since last Christmas! Carlotta is highwaisted and flattering to every body type, see for yourself:
Last December, I asked you what clothing item you’d like to see from Wear Lemonade, either to wear or sew. Many of you asked for flattering shorts: something not too tight around the thighs, yet slims the waist... Mine, Laure’s, the sewing pattern chief, and all of the other Lemonade Studio’s derrieres went on a quest for the perfect shorts. After many tests on fabric and secret optical illusion techniques, I’m proud to introduce you to Carlotta! Your new ally to tighten your waist, lift your bottom, and tone your legs without going to a gym... promise!
Carlotta can be worn with a pretty top for summer days at work and colorful ballet flats or can be slipped into your beach bag with a nice pair of wedge sandals. Since you’re going to fall in love with these shorts, you can even wear them when skies are gray with semi opaque tights, boots, and a comfy sweater. She can be worn all year round!
Carlotta is available in summery Chambray or sophisticated Ottoman for a more elegant and structured look. Her length is ideal (not too short because we’re not here our bottoms off either)! I hope you’ll love her little embroidered heart patch...
Speaking of hearts, the Ana dress is also available on the eshop. We wanted to wait a little bit to introduce you to her, but with this weather, we thought it would be good to release her today! Ana is the kind of dress for days when you don’t know what to wear. She’s sexy with her boat neck and cut out in the back while staying comfortable. Don’t worry, the cut out’s shape was well thought out so that your bra won’t show!
If you’re already familiar with the ‘Mon petit chat’ (My little cat) sweatshirt, we’ve used the same materials but in an offwhite color. Ana therefore has the same soft feel to her. We also used our signature embroidered heart patch on the two versions! Ana is perfect in the ‘Nuage’ (‘Cloud’) color for summer evenings and beach outings.
