HOW TO SEW A DARIA DRESS?
Hello lemons!
Here's the long-awaited Daria ! I think I have a lot of love for dresses, but I have to confess that Daria has a lot going for it to make it into my top 10 summer dresses. The hyper-sexy décolleté (I even leave the first button open, I'm like that at the moment), the little sleeves that you can turn inside out, the high waist, the skirt that twirls, that literally twirls and the essential pockets... So a real friend! The other day, I caught Laure contemplating a Daria dress on a hanger in the boutique and sighing mysteriously. It's her thing to make a little noise so that you ask her what's going on, and I love it when she does that... And I ask her what's going on, as I always do, and she tells me that I'm not sure what's going on! Dariais like her new "Sistine Chapel"... Totally! I think Daria is also Laure's new best friend.
For this new season, and for sunny days, I wanted to launch a new series of fabrics, cooked" lobsterslobsters waterlemon stripes (you get the pink-green, watermelon but lemon version of the pun....), and our "striped" cactiin a soft 100% cotton poplin. A few months ago, I asked you for your opinion on our new shipping box designs on Instagram, you voted en masse for your four favorite prints, and cactus stripes came in right after number one: lemons. And I thought it was really too cool to make it just a packaging, so I took advantage of the inspiration visit to get some printed on fabric! So here's Daria in cactus, and I think I'm even going to make a Daria with lobsters soon... To be continued...
A lot of you in the store are asking us what the next patterns will be, the Petra jacket, the Gina pants, the Maeva skirt etc. Well, we don't know, there's no consensus at the lemonade studio, so we're going to ask you to vote for your favorite pattern very soon! See how we handle universal suffrage in the Lemon Republic? The last 3 Wear Lemonade patterns were dresses, and it's not going to get any easier, because we're preparing a new, teeeeeellllllly beautiful wedding dress as a bonus! It can be made in any fabric, of course, and I think it's going to be another best friend, so I'm going to have to expand the dressing room, folks...
Some useful information for sewing this Daria:
- To find out what size to make, refer to the size chart, choose it according to your bust size.
- You'll need a 3 m fabric coupon for a 1.40 m width, but if you want to respect the seams, you'll need more. Make sure you pay close attention to the direction of your pattern (fabric consumption can be as high as 5 m). We recommend viscose or cotton poplin, broderie anglaise, seersucker or chambray.
- 11 buttons for the placket, 0.8 mm or 1cm in diameter.
- and the pattern can be downloaded in your subscription area at Lemonade Pattern Corner or at ahere Wear Lemonade !
