Hello lemons!

I could have called this article, "I love paper" or "Paper forever". You may not have known it because I'm a digital girl, but despite the fact that internet, screens, USB ports, dropbox and wifi run through my veins, I'm deeply attached to paper. "Despite" may be a strong word, because I'd never have met you without it, and yet I love paper, all paper! I have a sizeable "beautiful books" budget, and whenever I go on a trip, I'm on the lookout for local stationery stores. The people around me are divided into two groups: those who "know" and understand this love, and those who roll their eyes, saying that "there's no point, you're not going to write anything in it and you've already got plenty of notebooks". Yes, but even so, let me collect. For me, stationery is breathable, it's food for inspiration, it's color to be devoured with the eyes... In short, it's an ode to love that I'm writing to you today.

So it's a bit of a childhood dream come true for me right now. Wear Lemonade is clothing, sewing elements, patterns, fabric and, more recently, stationery. Imagine my total joy at the thought of receiving samples, caressing each little piece of paper, running color tests, bringing the season's motif to life on another medium! I'm delighted to see our universe expanding! I've always collected notebooks, small objects and notepads. I have a box, a drawer and a cardboard box, which I call "my little papers". I find that each notebook is the promise of pretty projects, of a desire for new resolutions. Even if I rarely finish them, they are witnesses to what's going on in my brain. I treasure them like relics.

I have notebooks for everyday projects, notebooks for my wedding, which I keep as an emotional memento, notebooks for my dreams, notebooks for my wildest projects, notebooks for vacation ideas, notebooks where I write down my mistakes, notebooks where I write down everything that's on my mind. I even have a prison notebook, in which I write down the first names of the people who spoil my day-to-day life - the Post Office can be considered a person, you know. So yes, despite the fact that the digitization of our lives is becoming more and more omnipresent, I'm not giving up my little pieces of paper.

And in addition to notebooks, I have a passion for to-do lists... I told you a while ago about the way I organize myself, and I swear by two-column to-do lists. In the evening, I prepare my dream list and the next day, shit always happens, and I enter it in the shit happens column. To top it all off, I've turned it into a product, the "superhero to-do list"... And my daily goal is to finish at least one of the two columns! Crossing off a line in each column gives me almost ecstatic satisfaction. I should seek treatment, but all the messy people in the world will tell you, crossing off a to-do list is already a huge step towards healing and organization!

And last but not least, another product that was very close to my heart (and you'll see why) is the correspondence cards. I love the idea of writing a little note to loved ones. Before I go on vacation, I write little notes to the whole team, I like to say thank you at the end of a great project, or write for birthdays. What's more, I find that paper conveys more than a simple text message, so I'm not telling you anything new. THE micro detail that completely melts my heart: we've managed to print little hearts on the envelopes... So there you have it! All our stationery is printed and made in the South of France, by passionate people who love paper, like me, or rather, like all of us at Lemonade Studio!
