FASHION WEEK PARIS #1

Madness! 

My chestnuts, life is crazy and I'm like a kid right now, a stressed-out kid but a kid nonetheless.

I have to admit that even though I clearly have more pressing matters to deal with, like finding a new apartment and office in a month's time, preparing a huge trip for next week, and above all working on some very, very big projects for 3 weeks from now as well.... I admit that Paris Fashion Week didn't seem like a top priority. But to be perfectly honest (and please don't think of me as a snob), I've never been to a fashion show in Paris, I only go in New York... (my god this sentence...). So when the invitations started pouring in, I was surprised, delighted and hysterical, so I opted to do 4 posts for you, quasi-live because some of these events took place yesterday.

And to be completely honest with you, this fashion week is also a pure and hardcore desire to share, because I think that the devices set up before and during the shows and presentations are also worth a closer look, because they're good for inspiration, and I'd like you to feel this unique effervescence too.

What's more, I'd like to come back to another point that's close to my heart: this "fashion week" project is also a personal investment, because I'm working with the sweet Tania Houlbert (for the editing of these films), without any sponsor behind it, as was the case with Gemey-Maybelline and New York fashion weeks. What's more, I'm planning to publish an article on partners and other collaborations very soon, as I feel we need a little clarification...

We'll start with the Show Etama huge set-up, some crazy international artists, see Eve sing again "Who's that girl"was a bit of a slap in the face. Backstage and the rehearsal were downright impressive, like discovering a new ethny of 2-meter tall women, their hair shiny and their eyes bright. As for the show, once again, I think Etam gave its audience a real eyeful! I was a little surprised by the very academic atmosphere in the room, even though there was a lot of action on stage! And then I have to say that the styling (I'm not talking about the lingerie itself) but everything around it, shoes, accessories, clothes etc... really didn't measure up to the show. I must admit I was disappointed by the styling, despite some truly spectacular pieces.

Sonia By... I was seduced by this "mini show" presentation. Beyond the collection, which I find sublime and want absolutely everything (bear coat alert, I'm already starting to save), I loved the minimal and colorful scenography. Bravo Good evening Paris (these guys are definitely on a roll... a few weeks ago I told you about the Galeries Lafayette windows, remember). What do you mean I'm not objective? No, really, I found it light and poetic, yet very sharp, in the service of the collection.

And the presentation Tara JarmonThe Tara team took us on a journey to an imaginary, slightly fantastical forest, where the models played cricket while cuddling little rabbits, some read literature in the moss of an undergrowth, while others simply strolled their wolves around the set... ( REAL WOLVES ). The collection is beautiful, with noble materials and so well cut... Did you see the navy blue sequin dress in the film? The accessories are crazy and unexpected, from the giant chapkas/scarves to the transparent oilcloth skirts, and I fell in love with a giant scale bakelite flower necklace...
