INSPIRATION MIRANDA CARMEN WEEK
Happy Monday, my little cats,
I declare open the special Miranda Carmen week! And not Carmen Miranda, I've been getting it wrong ever since the Carmen evening with you... So I can hear you now, who's Miranda Carmen? Okay, okay, if you were born in the 1900s, that's fine, I forgive you, but for the others, it's in the public interest for your morale and good humor to know her! Miranda Carmen is an actress/singer nicknamed the Brazilian bombshell, and although she was born in Portugal, for me she really is the symbol of the complete actress, dancing and singing in the Fox musicals of the 40s. A bit like Marilyn Monroe, she was often confined to comic roles, as a sultry brunette, very funny with her legendary fruit hairstyles on her head and her demented Flamenco dresses with ruffles... I recommend that you see again Banana Split, Weekend in Havana or Overnight in Rio. So cool that they've become classics when you're feeling down... And Miranda Carmen is also very topical, as "tropicalism" is everywhere at the moment, with Brazil at Monoprix, a World Cup that should soon be invading our screens and the arrival of the Sun in our lives!
A big kiss and see you tomorrow! You can find the english version here.
