MAKE MY LEVI'S
Buenos dias my little otters,
I hope you're enjoying your weekend, the sun, life and tonight the music! As far as I'm concerned, the weather's good, the sky's blue... It feels like summer! And summer means vacations, free time and, for some, sewing! So today I'm going to talk to you about Workshop Levi's, which might just inspire you to come up with a pretty idea. In any case, a little birdie tells me that very soon we'll be posting the DIY from this Workshop for the less fortunate who weren't able to join us!
For this Workshop, we changed things up a bit, because we did it in a Levi's boutique... And not just any boutique: the one on the Champs Elysées, and more precisely at the Levi's Tailor Shop. Let me explain: the tailor shop is where you can have your jeans and jackets altered... from a simple hem to a waist adjustment, not forgetting the installation of crazy embroidered patches... All frivolities are permitted! What's more, this alterations workshop is located on the top floor of the boutique, which was privatized just for our Workshop! So it was nice and cool!
So we set up shop there and imagined a very American "college" embroidery workshop to match the brand's image, and it was also an opportunity to come up with a new DIY on the sacrosanct denim fabric that has seen so much already... So we welcomed our participants with multicolored terry cloth, hundreds of paper letters and lots of needles! After their initial fears about embroidery, they all came through with flying colors! Each one chose a word to decorate the back of her jacket, and you know us, we were full of ideas... So we saw nicknames, love words and animal names go by! Lisa chose a "Meow" for hers, how original...
Once the word had been chosen and the first step of cutting out the letters completed, the girls grabbed their needles and everyone set off for a few hours of embroidery! I assure you, we were lucky enough to have been able to organize a manicure workshop with Nailmatic so that everyone could take a break and let their fingers rest! I'll let you immerse yourself in this Workshop thanks to the video, which I hope will inspire you and leave you with memories as lovely as ours of these days spent in your company. For more photos of this moment, visit our album Facebook !
Thanks to Levi's, Mariama, Caroline, Jeanne for the video, Aurélie, Julia and Nailmatic, and to all the participants! See you soon, because tomorrow is the start of Lemon Week! I'm off to stretch and twirl on the dance floor tonight!
