NAAN D'AMOUR

Hello my little cats! We're continuing this themed week with a recipe... So to put things into context, when we went to India, especially in the north, we didn't come across many restaurants offering Naans, but rather Chapati, which are other Indian bread rolls, like a bun.

DIY Turban

DIY Turban

Here's a little sewing DIY, to learn how to make our turban. It's not just a scarf tied twice, but a real turban, with nice even pleats and a base like a hat, so there's no risk of it unraveling. We've had this do-it-yourself project in mind since...

INDIA WEEK INSPIRATION

Happy Tuesday, company!

It's a theme week that starts here. Yes, it's a theme week starting on a Tuesday! Well, why not? What can I say... Even if the photo and graphic content is ready, the writing is still more or less live, and as we're still in the antipode of Paris, working conditions are a little extreme, but I'm pleased to announce that lemonade and chai will be flowing here this week! We've prepared some inspiring and escapist content for you, with a destination I've been loving: India. There's so much to say about this country... I think it's a destination that leaves no one indifferent, whether you fall in love with it or hate it.

I went there with my best friend 6 years ago, for 5 weeks, and what a slap in the face! I think we brought with us all the books we could find on the culture, on their religion... I was enchanted by the multiplicity of faces in this country, but also appalled by the human condition, the omnipresent poverty and the condition of women, which I saw most of all during our trip. This is truly a land of contrasts! But I remember coming back changed, not really knowing what to make of what we'd experienced, and I'm convinced that it opened my eyes to how lucky we are to live in a country like ours, even if it recharged me with a thousand colors, smells and sounds. As soon as we came across the slightest colored wall, I went crazy, and then the paintings, the statues, the smells, the elephants, the cows, the spices, the jewels, the fabrics, all these things created a whirlwind of memories for me.

When I met Fanny B., who lived in Jaipur for 7 years, and she talked about the madness, the slowness and the color of this country, it all clicked: I want to go back... So I don't know when this trip will take place, but this idea is making its way and I felt like delving back into my memories, giving you a glimpse of all that this culture has inspired me... I leave you here with a little mood board of images I've gleaned from the following websites Pinterest ! And I'll see you tomorrow for the first DIY of the week!

MY BIBIMBAP

Happy Wednesday!

So what is it? It's a Korean dish, a sort of picnic plate, a bit like a bento but less rigid and compartmentalized! It's often a mixture of rice, sautéed or raw vegetables, vegetarian, with beef or shrimp, with or without eggs, all drizzled with a spicy sauce! In short, I discovered this little marvel of good conscience at Jules&Shim 2 years ago, and then I wanted to make it my own in a slightly more gourmet way, with all the things I love, and I think it's a great option when you don't have any ideas and your fridge isn't really inspiring... And I don't know about you, but when the presentation is well done, I always feel like I'm doing myself good! So feel free to mix colors, but to please the retina, choose at least 4 colors, and don't forget to have fun and swap round rice for coral lentils or a good quinoa! I look forward to seeing your plates!
