HAPPY VALENTINE FRIDAY #52
"Huuhuuuuu Valentine's Day is a commercial holiday, it sucks, pink, red, dripping with good feelings, hearts, glitter, champagne, chocolates, helium balloons, lacy panties, help!"
Hého, these are just the things you think are cool every other day of the year, that we're talking about here! I'm teasing you... but so little of it. I confess, I like Valentine's Day. I don't sprinkle rose petals all over my apartment, and I don't wait for my sweetie to come home completely naked and covered in sushi either, but I do like this day (please get that image out of your head). I like receiving my bouquet of flowers, eating well, getting a bit sexy, telling each other we love each other... I do it every other day of the calendar too, but I don't know, it's kind of cool to take time for your couple?
"We shouldn't wait until February 14th to say we love each other" No, that's true, but it's kind of the same for Women's Day, isn't it? There shouldn't even be a day!
And then there's Valentine's Day: it's the day of lovers, the day of passion... There's worse still, the marketing directors of the world's commercial calendar (if they exist) could have invented Saint Lambert, the day of war, or Saint Lison, the day of sausage (peace Lison, you know how much I love sausage). Let's keep it quiet. Because Christmas and presents are very commercial too, and Santa Claus is also a salesman! And Kinder® bunnies and chocolate at Easter aren't written in the Bible either... I'm not even talking about Halloween.
I'm telling you this because I've got some girlfriends in a relationship (an important detail) who are so rebellious as soon as February 14th comes up, they get up in arms, hold up their crucifixes and spray me (almost) with holy water. And I'm not even talking about the single girls, who'd claw my eyes out if I told them about my plans for tonight.
Okay, I admit that for single people it's not fair play from the world's marketing directors... But from my memories as a young single woman (not that long ago either), I spent a great Valentine's Day with my mates, uncorking a good bottle of Bordeaux and popping a sausage (precisely), all sprinkled with a good rotten playlist, Richard Cocciante all night long.
Come on, I know I've told you too much, but I'm telling you anyway: I love you...
So today I'm wearing a Claudie Pierlot dress with hearts (it was today or never) that's a few seasons old but I've unearthed for you this one in the spirit... A teddy Lacoste LiveH&M tights, Maje red boots, also a few years old, but you can find some very Saint Valentine spirit ersatz. here…
See you tomorrow for more DIY! The goldens lemons have been awarded! LOVE!
