My little cats!

I would have written to you sooner but I had some server problems! More and more of you are coming here every day and you're making the site crash! By the end of April, things should be back to normal, but we'll talk about that later! Today another collaboration, and yes it's the season, and for this one I'm trying to do things differently, let me explain... Cacharel reissues its famous "Anais Anais"and for the occasion, they asked me to do a "beautiful" photo shoot in the spirit of "GIRLS TRIBU", but a shoot like that has to be prepared, and not done on the spur of the moment, between two unpacking boxes... So as I know you're fond of making-of and behind-the-scenes stories, I'd like to show you how a shoot is actually prepared.

For this first post, I'd like to explain the mechanics involved in receiving a brief. First, I learn about the history of the brand and product in question. Here it is Anais Anaisthe brand's legendary fragrance, whose campaign was shot by Sarah Moon in 1977. In short, a monument of perfumery. Cacharel has decided to bring a breath of fresh air with a new "premier délice" juice, focusing its campaign on a generation of hyper-creative young women, with girl power as its banner. To celebrate Valentine's Day, Cacharel organized a photo exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo featuring a handful of young women who portray the simplicity of their daily lives with disconcerting poetry. Through these romantic photographs, we could feel the boredom of teenagers spending their summers at their grandparents' country house, and the impatience to become adults while keeping both feet in childhood... Ah, the famous child-women!

The new Anais Anais campaign was shot by the fabulous Olivia Bee, a 20-year-old hyperactive genius. And that's how the brief came about! Imagine a shoot for Make My Lemonade inspired by this hyper-creative spirit, find a photographer (I've got a little idea, so keep your fingers crossed for me that she accepts! ), do a styling, find a location, find accessories (I've got a hankering for some colorful smoke...) and as for finding my tribe, I don't think it should be too complicated, it remains to be seen whether they'll be up for it... To start with, I always do a "make my lemonade" shoot. Pinterest boardThen I make a little montage on Photoshop with my images that best fit the theme, I list the key words and things that need to be highlighted during these stagings and I transfer these boards to the photographer. Then, in this file, I add the choice of clothes, the possibilities of locations, accessories, the options of people who could pose etc... I leave you with these first two boards and I'll see you next month to talk about the progress of the project!
