FROM ME TO YOU
Hello my little cats!
This article could also have been called "From me to me", because it's also quite conceivable to make gifts to yourself, especially in this time of weather crisis. Yes, I talk a lot about the weather at the moment, but I'm convinced that my morale is directly connected to Evelyne Dhéliat. So much so that as soon as a ray of sunshine appears between two showers of hail, I stick my nose out the window, literally blinded by the intense light, I'm fine, I can't see a thing but I don't care, I'm refueling. A real UV junkie...
So, the big news of the moment is obviously the Fête de l'amour next Sunday. Unless you live in a cave, you couldn't miss it... Even though I know it's a terribly commercial holiday aimed at clearing out the stocks of "Mon chéri" between Christmas and Easter, I love February 14th. It's so nice to say we love each other, buy ourselves a pair of pink faux fur handcuffs, and take care of the couple we've neglected all year long. So much sarcasm today! On a more serious note, I like Valentine's Day, I couldn't really tell you why, but I like the idea that kitsch is tolerated on this day: the red rose, listening to life in pink, wearing frilly lingerie, eating ginger, whispering words of love to each other, I admit I like to do that all the rest of the year, but I don't know, I like to indulge myself completely for 1 day, a bit like Mother's Day...
I love my mother every day of the year, but it's completely taken for granted for everyone to declare their love for their mother once a year. And even if they say they don't care, they love receiving their bouquets of flowers, their noodle necklaces, or yet another jewelry box in a camembert box, they just love it. So you might as well do the same for your other half... And what if you're single? It's all the same, celebrate yourself, glorify the great person you are, give yourself gifts, see your mates and then it's okay to be in love with your friends too... On Sunday, treat yourself! I read a little phrase I don't know where, but I thought it was a great mantra: "in couple with my celibacy, until love do us part"... In short, February 14th is above all the day of kiffe.
So today, I'd like to give a second life to Wear Lemonade boxes by imagining a lemony Valentine's Day box. All you have to do is download the files to customize, cut out and let yourself be guided by the suave voice of Barry White(click click) and grab some felt-tip pens to color in the drawings on the box! And as for the contents: nothing insurmountable, I promise!
- - A white mug with a gradient - the technique is the same as for this tuto.
- - A white UO padlock packaged in a kraft box whose tuto is here,
- - A disco globe made from a normal globe you've found here and a mirror ball (with a polystyrene base is important).
- - A book of words of love, L'écume des jours, Les hauts de hurlevent or Lettres d'amour à Joséphine... Take your pick.
- - A candle Monoprix customized with our flame declaration sticker (huhuhu)
- - A special message lipstick on a mirror...
- - And a mini cactus, to add a little spice!
- - Favors found at Tiger.
Big hugs and best wishes for at least one sunny afternoon this year, nothing more I'll take care of the frills!
And for Valentine's Day, our great friends from The French Vikings have also thought of you with a treasure hunt that will enable you to win a place at their workshops! So keep your eyes peeled for the little plaques thanks to this map (there are also clues on their instragram) and share your find with #VikingValentine. Kisses to you, my little butter hearts!
