HAPPY MONDAY BUDAPEST WEEK
Happy Monday my little cats!
I'm delighted to bring you this special Grand Budapest Hotel shoot today! Thanks to Nose, we're lucky enough to be shooting at L'hotel Raphael - for fans, you may recognize the setting from the short film byhotel Chevalier by Wes Anderson... In fact, while preparing this post, I just saw the short film again, and Justine B looks so much like Nathalie Portman, it's uncanny!
I'm really happy with the result, having been able to do this shoot with my friends, and I had the time of my life making the styling for this series, but it wasn't easy. The shoot was organized in a very short space of time, and finding mauve and violet costumes in such a short space of time proved to be almost mission impossible, so we had to do a bit of embroidery... What's more, I was delighted to do the shoot with Charlotte Evrardwho I love working with ("make my party in"!!) and who helps me a lot with my happy fridays. Thank you Charlotte for everything! I've got to tell you about that shoot with Justine B. Even though we seem to be having a hard time of it, we're real studio actresses, and if you only knew how hellish we were, laughing all the time... Charlotte, who'd just seen the film The Old Lady of the Shoot, was really into it, coaching us like crazy with her secretly wacky phrases to get us into the skin of Wes Anderson's characters...
