New week, the weather was crazy in Bordeaux this weekend, enough to recharge the batteries, I didn't really get a tan, but I got hot in my opaque tights... what. Pigmentation aside, I made a little killer recipe, nothing crazy either but the taste, BUT THE TASTE! Anyway, if bananas and salted butter are your friends, be sure to read on... There's not a nano crumb of it left in my house... You'll see, I thought I was on Top Chef. Keeping my feet on the ground, what follows is a banana cake (crazy...)

For this Banana Bread, you'll need..:

  • 2 large, ripe bananas,
  • 3 Eggs,
  • 160g caster sugar,
  • 170g Flour,
  • 1 sachet Yeast,
  • 170g salted butter.
First of all, preheat your oven to 180°C, then butter and flour (a little) your cake tin. Start by slicing the bananas into rounds and frying them for a few minutes in a pan with a little butter, then set aside.
In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar until the mixture whitens, then add the sifted flour and baking powder. Then add the melted salted butter. And I recommend breading your bananas (if you don't mind my saying so) in a little flour, so they don't end up at the bottom of your cake... Once you've breaded your bananas, carefully add them to the mixture and bake for 40 /45 minutes. That little salty taste drives me a little nuts, just like oreos, that touch of salt makes these cakes devilish! si si ...
As a bonus, serve this dessert with a little white chocolate sauce to finish everyone off: melt some white chocolate in a bain-marie with a little liquid crème fraîche... Enjoy!
