HAPPY FRIDAY WITH ESPRIT #70

Happy Friday my birds! 

I'm back today for a happy friday with the brand Espritall in blue and white. The brand asked a few bloggers to imagine looks and moodboards inspired by this summer's Esprit collection. And since I'm a bad student, I didn't really feel like making moodboards, but rather little sets of what their all-blue-and-white collection inspires in me... So obviously, it reminds me terribly of Greece. Unfortunately, I've never been there before, and what's more, I wasn't going to make a return trip for the occasion... So as I didn't have the time to go and shoot this happy friday under the Greek sun, I imagined scenes of all the things I'd like to do here in Paris this summer.

This summer, I want to take my time, go picnicking in the Buttes Chaumont, tame some birds and drink gallons of Curaçao-based cocktails... Because in the end, I think I love summering in Paris. Everything's calmer, the scorching heat slows down the frenzy of Paris, and I love seeing this city that's both soft and bright with blond buildings...

I love these last few days in the sweltering heat, the first signs of summer, and I don't think there's anything that makes me happier than leaving the house with my legs in the air without a jacket, my hair drying on my shoulders... The evening thunderstorm that cools the night and the next morning, the sky is once again ultramarine blue. I don't need much these days, but a blue sky changes everything and makes me even more patient.

This summer, I really feel like scouring the terraces of little Parisian cafés. I have the feeling that it's only in France that we have this terrace culture, with chairs side by side to stare at people passing by... For the past few months, I've been telling myself every weekend that I feel like rediscovering Paris, like a real tourist, getting out of my favorite arrondissements, going fly-boating, climbing to the top of the Montparnasse tower, getting lost in Montmartre.... Falling in love with Paris all over again.

So, to get back to business, I'm wearing white jeans, a blue shirt striped shirt, a jacket and jeans Esprit jeans, a small vintage suitcase, and Patricia Blanchet pumps. And a little blue satin bow in my hair...

Another thing I'd like to do this summer is take photos of Paris from every angle, because when I'm away from home on vacation, I have my camera around my neck to capture every street corner. And often, as I ride my bike and watch Paris flash before my eyes, I realize that I'm lucky enough to live in the most beautiful city in the world, and I tend to forget that and take all this atmosphere and history for granted.
