ANAIS ANAIS LE SHOOT
Happy Monday my little butter hearts!
Remember this article "a new brief for the reissue of the legendary Anais-AnaisI'm not going to repeat myself, but for those of you who didn't read the previous article, Cacharel wanted to showcase a generation of hyper-creative young women in its latest campaign, trusting Olivia Bee, just 20 years old, to shoot their latest visuals. The whole launch was built around a strong spirit of belonging: "Girls tribu", a sort of poetic girl power 2.0 to be concise. In the previous article, I told you that I was crossing my fingers that the photographer I had in mind would agree to collaborate on this project. Well, she did (dance of joy, one day I'll do this dance just for you...) and today I'm bringing you the fruits of the labor of Charlotte Abramowa 20-year-old photographic genius herself. Isn't it annoying? You can find the english version here.
Alexandra wears a top Maison Olgaa neoprene skirt Cacharel. I'm wearing a dress Mina Crew and a necklace Galia.
For my tribe, I wanted to do this 3-way shoot with Justine B, my lobby boy and Alexandra B. (yes, the ultra-talented chick behind the blog's latest design is also a fighter jet). But life got in the way and Justine was swamped with work, and couldn't be there that day, so it's a mini tribe that I'm presenting to you today.
I'm wearing a dress Samsoe samsoea vintage cape, Alexandra a dress EDC and a sublime coat Polderand home-made wreaths, but more on that soon...
I wanted to do it at daybreak, but Charlotte talked me out of it and decided to do it at the end of the day for the softer light. She's the specialist! I'm really more than delighted to have worked with her, she's really brilliant, inhabited and obviously absolutely brilliant. All Charlotte's are definitely pearls!
I really wanted to use smoke as well, I love the "apparition" aspect, a bit like a daydream. In real life, it's a real pain to use when it's a bit windy... I smile as I recall some of the hysterical scenes, but I'll let Charlotte S. tell you her anecdotes in the making of this series.
And then the styling... One of my favorite moments, when preparing for a shoot. I wanted to find pieces that were soft, but not flowery. Pastel tones without going overboard with the little pony. Something modern that you could actually wear in real life. Dresses, yes, but with sneakers, or boots, to twist things up a bit. And yes, we're not 16 to be walking around in liberty, barefoot and daisies in our hair.
Alexandra wears a skirt and top Cacharel, a leather jacket Claudie Pierlotand a pair of Converses, I'm wearing a dress Cacharel with a bustier Undiz, a shirt Asos open and Jeffrey Campbell boots.
Alexandra wears a top Maison Olgaa micro neoprene skirt Cacharel. I'm wearing a dress Mina Crew and a necklace Galia.
Can we dwell for 2 minutes on the length of Alexandra's hair? She sometimes lends me some...
I hope you enjoyed our vision of Girls tribu. We wanted freshness and complicity, and I really like this girls tribe thing. I don't think it's necessarily a generational thing. I think that today, more than ever, I'm building my own little crew of hyper-creative chicks in all areas of play: graphic design, writing, production, translation, sewing, and I'm sure I'm forgetting too many. Gosh, it's a long way from my 16th birthday, but I think life's getting better and better as time goes by.
I love you and don't forget to post your inspiring photos, have fun, put yourself on stage with your tribe, etc... and post your photos of the #SUNRISE theme mentioning @anaisanaisofficial @makemylemonade with the hasgtags #anaisanais #girlstribu. We'll be back on Wednesday with Charlotte's making of, and we'll be giving away some gifts too...
