My little cats,

First of all, thank you for the smashing welcome you gave the Work Shop! Let's talk again soon! So I'm back in the capital! It's been intense, crazy, insane, too good, what have you, I'm at the end of my rope, tired but good tired, tired that makes you happy. My brain is boiling, I've seen so much, it's recharged my creative batteries, really. I realize that taking pictures of people, doing "street style", does a lot for my inspiration, it makes me work on my shyness, I'll approach people to ask if I can take their picture, then I try to capture the detail that made me turn around on these people. I really enjoy doing this, it's a bit like making a collection of characters, capturing their looks to create a library of desires and inspiration...

If you're in Paris over the next few weeks (Paris Fashion Week is just around the corner), get out on the street, grab your camera, your phone, your pola and dare to approach people, take their picture and create your own little album of looks and details... It's a great way to get ideas, to get creative, to open up the field of possibilities (really), just try it! I've got a ton of photos to share with you in my mosaic here, and there's going to be a massive influx of photos on the tumblr of Gemey-Maybelline in the next few days!

This trip to New York also enabled me to broaden my stylistic horizons, and discover American designers who until then had sounded like illustrious unknowns, such as Bibhu MohapatraI wasn't expecting anything, I could never remember his name, and then once I was in the backstage area and at the show, I got a real kick out of it. It was beautiful, it was busy but elegant, it was a successful blend of Indian opulence and American perfection. I'll stop snubbing designers with exotic names from now on, so as not to run the risk of missing out on little gems.

In the video, you'll also have seen the J. Mendel show.Mendel, a Russian fashion house specializing in furs that has been based in Paris for over 30 years, and which has finally found its clientele and success on the other side of the Atlantic. This is my penultimate article on New York fashion week, I hope you enjoyed these posts, tomorrow there's a video medley with all the things I saw... And as a bonus, images from the Rachel Zoe and Ralph Lauren Show! Hugs and kisses! Have a great Sunday!
