Happy Wednesday the company!

Today is a serious day, and I'm talking to you about a sensitive subject: the wedding dress. Needless to say, on the second day it wasn't white. It was sequined. Yes, because in the end I wanted to play the game to the hilt. I've always had this fantasy of a mermaid dress inside me, of Jessica Roger Rabbit at BrigitteI can't explain it. I can't explain it, but it always makes my boyfriend smile, even though he comes up with the idea in spite of himself. One day, while discussing the wedding, I told him that the guests could wear white because I wouldn't be wearing all white for the ceremony. I could see myself in a pearl-grey tulle dress, embroidered with stars à la Valentino. To which he replied: "You're not going to wear a sequin dress, are you? And then for the construction of the outfit, I played with shades of gray...

One day, for a photo shoot to be released very soon, I borrowed a dress Tara Jarmon with pink sequins. It was incredible. I wore it and never wanted to take it off, it was perfect with its big decolleté in the back, its little belt, she and I liked each other right away. It was the same dress, but in pink. So I asked around and was able to get the unthinkable, this Beyoncé fan mermaid dress in very light silver. It was perfect.

I was incredibly lucky, Karuna Balloo is into wedding headpieces, and she gave me this amazing metal and silk flower crown and ear jewelry. I wasn't sure if I'd wear the ear jewels too, but when it came time to get dressed, Fred convinced me that a little more or a little less shine was just what I needed... And he was right, because those little shimmers in the hair were really hot...

So, for the make-up this time, I did my make-up myself, and I wanted to do the bare minimum, just beautiful skin and a healthy glow, because well, a sequined dress, glitter pumps, a crown of metallic flowers, hair extensions (and no my kittens, I don't have any magic regrowth secrets, just the best hairdressers) was already more than enough.

Today, as well as showing you the dress, I'm giving you a little bonus DIY... How to make your wedding dress cover in the family's embroidered linen sheets. I've had this sheet for many years, and my mother always told me: "I'll give it to you, but you're not allowed to cut into it". Of course, I immediately wanted to cut into it. But then I realized that she wouldn't mind cutting into it if it was for a good cause, to make a cover for my wedding dresses...

For this DIY, you'll need:

  • - an embroidered linen sheet,
  • - scissors,
  • - sewing machine,
  • - hanger, ruler and pencil.

To begin, cut a rectangle 15 cm wider than your hanger and as long as your dress, and 2 other rectangles as long as your dress and as wide as the middle of your hanger + 20 cm... Start hemming with 2 folds (you may want to refresh your memory). here) over the full height of your half-rectangles (on one side), you're preparing the opening of your cover.

Once pre-shaped, machine-stitch your hems. Lay your large rectangle and your two "half rectangles" right sides together. Then pin the two larger sides together.

Also pin the bottom of your cover and for the top, just preform a fold with the iron and pin only. Machine-stitch the bottom of the cover, or use a zigzag stitch to be on the safe side.

Take the coat hanger and center it on the top of the cover. Using the wooden pencil, trace the curves of the hanger and finish the curves to the sides using the ruler.

Pin on the pencil lines, machine-stitch with a regular stitch, doubled with a zigzag stitch, and trim the excess fabric 1 cm above your seams.
