HAPPY FRIDAY #49
Happy Friday cats!
I'm in great shape, full of ideas and in high spirits, that's good isn't it? I've received dozens of requests asking if there'll be a workshop in November, but unfortunately not, due to: no time to organize it properly, a crate of work and I'm not going to complain but it's a hell of a job to organize these workshops, and not wanting to rush things, I prefer to postpone, and for good measure for December there'll be two!
A "gift" workshop with Uniqlo, a gift because I'm going to give you 5 tickets to attend, and there will be 5 other tickets to win on the brand's facebook page, but I'll tell you all about that when the time comes, don't worry. You'll see, December is going to be a festive month on Make My Lemonade!
And there will also be another workshop at the end of December, a classic we might say. If you don't want to miss a thing, I'll be announcing the day and time of the workshops in the blog newsletter, a newsletter that'll smell like lemons and won't rot your mailbox. Just one mailing a month, no more, I promise!
Today I wanted to talk to you about jeans. I don't often talk about them here, I don't like them, I can't find one that fits me, I'm uncomfortable and give myself complexes, in fact I don't like trying them on. After trying on two pairs, I feel sulky, cramped, downright annoyed, I want to rip off the jeans and run far away. I'm a bit jeanophobic. Let's face it, I don't have the legs of Gisele Bündchen, nor the frame of Kate Moss, like the vast majority of mortals, you might say... But a few months ago, I got rid of the Slim, and yes, once I'm moulded, I feel like I'm in tights, naked... I'm fine with it. I've given up wearing low-rise jeans, at the risk of having 20 cm legs. I've given up wearing high-waisted jeans, at the risk of having two muffins above the waist. I've given up on boyfriends, because they make me look like I'm 14 years old and listening to my parents. SUM 41. Yeah, my life's hard, I know. And then the other day I ask for help, I finally give up. The charming saleswoman Sophie from Topshop hands me the Holy Grail The MUM. Hallelujah!
Yeah the MUM, Mommy's jeans literally, the image is good. High-waisted but not too high, with a long crotch (it makes your thighs look longer, 20 cm easier), and a straight cut that's perfect, so it doesn't "mold" anything, but it's not boyfriend either, and a plus, not to be overlooked, it's slightly tightened at the ankles, so a little hem gives you childlike ankles. This is a declaration of love to my Jean MUM. Just to give you that baby look in Dirty Dancing, perfection (for me, that is).
I'm wearing MUM jeans Topshopsilk shirt and ersatz Joe Fresh socks. herea Primark jacket (I'm told that Primark is opening in Marseille, so pack your bags) in the meantime, you can find a similar one here here. A beautiful brooch Karuna Balloo. And a pair of escapins Sézaneeighties style.
See you this weekend for a little easy DIY, yes two DIY this week, I told you it was going to be Christmas around here...
