HELLO 2017

Happy New Year!

Wishing you a great and fabulous 2017!

Full of love, laughter, complicity, lightness, creativity, genius ideas, success, risk-taking, and above all, to take advantage of all this, iron health!

At the start of this new year, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support. Next March, Make My Lemonade will celebrate its 5th anniversary. I can hardly believe it... And it wouldn't have happened without you! So thank you for letting me live this crazy adventure for another year!

I can't believe how quickly 2016 flew by, and at the same time how slowly it came to an end. I couldn't wait to start this new year, a bit like a blank page where everything had yet to be written! You know, I love January and I love September. The beginning of stories full of promise and hope! So this year, I'm not going to make a list of resolutions. I'm just going to be realistic so as not to disappoint myself after a fortnight.

And then recently I took a long look through the blog archives, and realized just how much I missed the creative side of my job! So please allow me some time to reconnect with my pencils and my brain! For some time now, I've been enjoying getting back to the sewing machine, just for my own pleasure and not to film a Wear Lemonade video... and that's just too good!

By the way, this brings me back to a challenge/resolution I wanted to set myself for 2017, which would be to not consume fast fashion. To buy differently, better. With Wear Lemonade by my side, it's shaping up to be easier than expected, but as a good clothing lover, Zara's calls are hard to ignore. I looked again "The True Cost on Netflixand it put my mind right. Since then, I've been watching all the labels to find out where the clothes come from.

And speaking of awakening and awareness, I listened to my first podcast: powder, a feminist podcast in which Lauren Bastide gives a voice to women. What a delight, it's so inspiring, intimate and universal. I want more! I highly recommend it, and in it's free!

And then finally, 2017 is shaping up to be a big year for Wear Lemonade too, with beautiful collaborations, crazy projects, bigger collections! I'm so looking forward to discovering what life has in store for us, and to reading and seeing your reactions! I'm also thinking of talking to you more often about what goes on behind the scenes of entrepreneurial life, because your feedback on the business articles has reinforced my belief that sharing is everything! And speaking of business and support, this year I'm once again collaborating with Etsy and the resolutions programs! If you'd like to get started, but have no idea how, I invite you to sign up for their program, which will start at the end of January. here !

Long story short, in 2017, I'm going to:

• Vote
• Get into lettering, really!
• Find time to draw more.
• Create more!
• Consume better.
• Read more!
• Open a store ...

And in 2017, I will continue to :

• try to do my best,
• chasing after time,
• pretend to go to the gym 2 times a year
• Making lists...
• be terribly in love!
