Happy friday birds!

Yeah, I know I'm unforgivable, it's Friday... But yes, it's a bit scary how fast the days go by... And to top it all off, I'm not telling you anything, but it's dark at 4pm and it's morning to take my photos, but in the morning I'm writing e-mails and getting the day, the house and the office up and running, so it's a bit of a race, but once again, I'd like to have an "organizer" + "timefreezer" chip implanted in my brain... It would be so handy to be able to freeze the minutes until the light stops moving, and have everything in its place in my diary as well as in my head!

But I've got good news... 2014 is going to be even crazier than 2013 (if that's possible) and I'm making it my mission to stop letting myself be overwhelmed by time. It's my number 1 resolution for 2014. I know we're a bit ahead of schedule when it comes to resolutions, but I think it's great to select your goals, well your goal... Define your desire and do everything you can to stick to it. There's no need to have 100 if you're going to give them up on February 2... Anyway, back to the point!

Gatsby! I've prepared a "Make my party like Gatsby" table, but while I'm waiting to unveil it this weekend, I wanted to show you the invitations and other stationery I've come up with for this party... which I'm currently organizing with my friends for New Year's Eve... So all these ideas can be transposed to any party, birthday, Christmas or wedding... I can't tell you enough: TRANSPOSE!

Obviously for me, Gatsby had to be black and gold, but there's nothing to stop you printing the invitation files on silver paper. Because yes, that's what these home-made invitations are all about. How do you go about printing gold on your home printer? Well, it's simple: you can't! You can imagine printing a mustard-yellow color, but in terms of glittering and festive effect, you're at level -10 of the desired effect. So I don't give up, I rack my brains and bingo, I know, I'm going to print in black on gold paper. At that moment, I feel like I've found the cure for hair loss.

But not just any paper... I made a few unsuccessful tests, the problem came from the laminated paper, a bit shiny, not crazy but good, it was gold and the major worry was that the ink never dried. I'll leave it to you to imagine how difficult it was. I found this paper here in A4 format in antique gold color. Otherwise, if you're in Paris, go to the print shop Magenta Color at 55 boulevard magenta, they have a similar canon paper.
