A glimpse of our office relaxation area...

Hello my little cats,

I don't know if you remember, but back in January I told you that I'd decided to abandon resolutions in favor of intentions, month after month, which are much easier to keep, or at least to write down for you, as if you were becoming witnesses to our good intentions. So I'm going to give you an update on the past month... And tell you what we've set as our goals for next month...

January's intentions, 2 out of 5 achieved, but for us these were the two most important:

  • - Find office space > Check! Oh Yeah! And I can't tell you how life-changing it is to have your own studio.
  • - Finding a rhythm for publication > We're working on it, the events of January have brought us to our knees...
  • - Launching the sewing patterns > Check! Thanks again for the warm welcome, it really makes us want to be better!
  • - Working on the next book (!!!) > The skeleton is there, but we're going to have to shift gears!
  • - Finish at 6pm at least once a week. > We'll try again next month.

So our 5 intentions for February are :

  • - Find a publishing rhythm
  • - Prepare this "live my life as an entrepreneur" article
  • - Stay on top of things with bosses, the app of the month, horoscopes and a little making of too...
  • - Finish the next book...
  • - Post more DIY.

Don't hesitate to react and say what you'd like to see more of around here!

The horoscope of January Horoscope... After the paper kittenswe tried our hand at embroidery, leaving you with a surprise for next month...

And I'd like to come back to Friday's "Valentine's Gate", because I just can't keep quiet... I'm one of those people who think you can laugh at everything, but not with everyone. But to read here that I'm making a mistake, when all we did was draw up these lists in the office and at no point did we think: sexism! Let's just put things in context, "the sexism is a discriminatory attitude adopted because of gender. Criticism of sexism denounces the idea that the different characteristics of the two genders, male and female, imply the attribution of distinct roles, rights and duties in society" (wikipedia). You all know how to read and you're also very capable of arguing, we've read it well. But here, it's all about women. So my mistake... I shouldn't have written "girl-girl" but "pseudo-perfect girl" versus "pseudo-snob girl" rather than "girl-boy", obviously these aren't rigid categories, a reader quite rightly spoke of a porous boundary, of course we're all a bit of both. But tell me you've never rolled your eyes when you've seen or heard one of your girlfriends do something really "too much", and it made you smile... That's all it was about...

I think it's safe to say that here at the office we're all proud to be women, and that we fly the flag for girl power... No, I'm not apologizing, and we loved coming up with these lists... Of course, I know we can't please everyone, but a little levity and self-deprecation please, it's not a burden to be a woman! We don't live in a world of Care Bears, and clichés will always exist, unfortunately, and then clichés are just boxes in which we put our differences. We're all intelligent enough around here to have fun with them, and it's part of the principle of humor to use clichés...

The launch of Wear Lemonade ! Big Surprise and we'll definitely have to reprint some for next month!

Sometimes I feel like I should just post looks or tell you about my cat's tribulations. I feel I can't say anything without incurring the wrath of the internets. If by some misfortune I should feel like talking :

- money, in France it's so wrong to try and make a good living.

- love, because perhaps that would mean conveying the image of a woman completely dependent on the man who shares her life.

- of physique or morphology, politics or religion (I've never tried it, but I wouldn't risk it) or eating strawberries in winter...

This is just a little rant, but please, let's keep it light... I'm not a paragon of virtue and I've never claimed to be.
