My little chestnuts,

The hour is grave! Today I'm inaugurating the blog's new tab, flap and cap, the "WORK SHOP" category, Ta-Da! Ok...but what is it?

For several months now, after lengthy discussions on the how and why of this site, I've really wanted to make things tangible, after the book with which digital suddenly became palpable, after Craft Night with Etsy, after a DIY workshop during a La redoute presentation, it's become obvious! Meeting you is great, but learning from you in real life is even greater.

Think of it as a sort of cooking class, only better: a DIY class, based on the same principle: I give you the recipe, and even the ingredients, and you go home with what you've made, and with little gifts to boot...

It sounds a bit crazy, but that's what's going on today, so I'm going to skip the details, from suppliers, to meticulous partner searches, venues, equipment, people to find to help me and all the other organizational joys necessary to make this kind of event possible, to give you the gist, here's the broad outline, what ultimately interests you most (I can't wait to tell you).

Every month from now on, on a full Sunday afternoon, I'll be organizing WORK SHOPs in partnership with one or more brands. There will be 10 places up for grabs on sale at each session.

  • Tickets cost 50 euros.
  • During the work shop, you'll leave with 3 products and some goodies... (which I've prepared with great care...)
  • We'll spend a whole afternoon making, customizing, tinkering, sewing, sublimating, having fun, tasting crazy cakes and drinking pints of tea, etc... a good afternoon normally. And of course, you'll go home with your creations. What's more, if you like the products I've selected as they are, I won't force you to customize them, but you can learn the technique, the gestures and reproduce them later at home... Don't panic, I'm not the DIY gestapo.

But for those of you who can't make it to these work shops, due to lack of time, geolocation or even means, you won't be left out, because a video and photos will be taken during this work shop and you can view all this in the WORK SHOP tab, plus I'll also be making one of the three DIYs on the blog! This doesn't change the fact that I'll still be doing DIY posts on the blog as usual, so don't panic cats!

So I declare the entries for the first WORKSHOP session, which will be in exclusive collaboration with my favorite clothing retailer ASOS (I'm getting hysterical as I type this), this Sunday, September 29, right in the center of Paris. The theme of the first session is BACK TO SCHOOL, and we'll be customizing :

  •  -a sweater
  • - a bag
  • - and a pair of shoes....

Please indicate your shoe size and clothing size in an e-mail, just after you register!

I'd like to say a special thank you to Alexia, Nicolas, Manon, Tatiana, Pauline, Scarlette, Tania, France, Romain and of course Justin and Agathe for their help and trust...THANK YOU very much and see you soon!
