Hello my little chickens!

I'm back to put a little sunshine in your little hearts. Just looking out the window makes me want to stick my head in the oven... I'd have been better off staying for the weekend... But that's another story! Today it's a vitamin-packed, lemon-yellow post, just the way I like them. I realized when I was preparing the photos for the article that I didn't really want to do montages with lots of little photos anymore, I want to show you everything in big format! So it's going to be a little longer than usual, but I promise it's going to be 100% pure lemon juice, with no added sugar... So here's the entrance to our offices... The jewel in the crown.

Yes, yes, the jewel, I'm not afraid of words today. For me, it's really the showpiece of the site. The extension of the Internet experience, the impeccable airlock before the chaos... I've long had this hotel image as an obsession, and I've also long tried to sell the idea to my customers. But they were either too reluctant or not convinced. this image in a corner of my mind, and then when we visited the office I knew this would be where our lemonade stand stripes would take up residence. On two walls, like a box of candy.

Two walls, yes, at first my boyfriend and I (the best in the world) thought we were going to do the whole room... And then, after painting everything white, as well as the ceiling in Wimborne White ( a very bright, slightly off-white) from Farrow and Ball, we started to draw lines at 45°C on the first two walls, using a yellow colored pencil, a very long wooden strip and a square/rapporteur. Then we stuck on painter's tape (I'll never be able to touch tape like I used to, I've become almost phobic since). At that point, we said to ourselves that it was going to become unbearable to work in an entirely striped room, and that we needed to create some breathing space. Besides, I think I'd have given up if I'd had to put tape on the mouldings of the double front door... So it was with great excitement that we opened the can of paint... Lemon Yellow It's a slightly ochre yellow, very warm, not acidic, and it was perfect for the circumstances. As soon as the two coats were applied, we removed the scotch tape without waiting - two kids, I tell you! I'd advise you either to wait 24 hours for the paint to dry before removing the tape, or to do it straight away without waiting for the second coat to dry to the touch. Because even if Farrow paint dries very, very quickly to the touch, this doesn't mean it's completely dry, and removing the tape too soon can be risky, like a "peel-off" effect. So be delicate or patient, or very quick...

That's it for the technical part, it looks quick, but it took us a whole weekend to paint everything, and then while I was waiting for the paint to dry (before the scratches) I couldn't resist putting up the white tulle curtains across the entire width of the room. I think it softens the room and I'm really fond of these tulle curtains.

My other current obsession is white floors. I dream of white waxed concrete, or white painted parquet... But I'm forced to face the fact that it would have cost an arm and a leg... So we painted the whole office with white garage paint, but I'll tell you about that another time. I'm not sure how it's going to age, so when in doubt, in the entrance hall, where most of the traffic is, we laid Saint Maclou white imitation parquet lino (obviously... too easy).

Mirror and yellow furniture La Redoute, DIY rack, and computer server cover made from featherboard and a few pins (what a wart this thing is)...

When we arrived, there were 3 large transparent bubble lights in the entrance hall, so we kept the locations and connections, and I'd been dreaming of these white lights ever since I'd seen them in Copenhagen last December. While browsing the Internet, I spotted them again on Lightonline, which, I can confirm, is truly the "Galeries Lafayette" of lighting. And I wanted a Waouh effect when you walk in, it's the place where you're welcomed, where you can pick up your orders and also where you can see a preview of the pieces arriving and even try them on! I'm currently negotiating with my boyfriend to come up with a DIY screen to complete the boutique feel of our little entrance.

Yes, I'm negotiating, because he's already put a lot of work into it, and he's made me this perfect shelf to store all Wear Lemonade's orders without a nail or a screw... I had a crush on it! this image on Pinterest and with the help of my little dad, they put this shelf together in just a few hours... And for the decoration on the walls, I wanted to put up my little lucky frames, a bit like relics of love offered by my friends, but the white frames were too bland, I needed to emphasize everything with a bit of black... I hope you like it and that you'll come and pay us a little visit soon! Kisses and see you soon!
