WADE & ALBERT memories of brooklyn
Happy Sunday, kittens,
a little souvenir post from my New York vacation. During those two weeks, I had the chance to meet some incredible people, and Wade Jensen and Albert Torres were among them.... Two passionate men, in creative and unusual professions, made me imagine that you might be interested in "meeting" them! Wade and Albert are friends of my aunt, who took us in. And in turn, they welcomed us into their studio in a Brooklyn warehouse... A little madness, I thought I was in a movie or in that crazy "Girls" series... I'll give you a little tour of the premises... Welcome To Wade and Albert studio!
Wade is a knitwear designer who works freelance for a number of major New York brands... He's a true artist, and I'll let you discover these incredible samples, which have nothing to envy Isabel Marant's knitwear! What's more, this little crochet genius has created some crazy jewelry that was available at Colette, no less!
And Albert! Aaaaah Albert and his blue hair for our first interview (it was his birthday...) and he wore a blue Marge Simpson wig! I wasn't all that surprised when he opened the door of their workshop to us... Albert has a crazy job I think, he's a tailor on photo shoots, he doesn't do the styling of the photos but he's there to adjust the clothes on the mannequins... A sort of garment geotrouvetou... All I can wish them is to set up their own brand in any case, rest assured, I'll be their first customer!
