Hello lemons, readers of shade and readers of love!

Today I'm taking the time to tell you all about season two of our collaboration with Princesse Tam Tam. As they so beautifully put it, Princesse doesn't like one-night stands! The first collection had been such a pleasure that we naturally wanted to go further and take the plunge! You've got it, the bath, the pool, the swimsuits, all that? I'm in good shape, I warn you! To tell you the truth, this palm tree pattern wasn't normally planned, as there's another pattern in its place (which you'll find out about in a few weeks' time at Wear Lemonade...). But the ups and downs of life, between back-and-forths and high-level validation, the initial motif was cancelled. So, in a hurry, we had to find a summer alternative, and make sure I liked it, was proud of it and all that... And at the same time, I was posting my jacket. Maria Wear Lemonade made from a curtain, and you were totally in love with the fabric. I thought the palm motif had a place of its own in our house... so I worked on different directions, in watercolor, with a pink background... it was done, but deep down I wasn't convinced. Creative people know what I'm talking about, that little voice that whispers "I'm not sure, but we're out of time, I'm sending it anyway. "Well, you know what? That thing doesn't work for me, I get up at night, I make elastic time, I start again until my eyes sparkle and I want to look at my motif all the time to use it everywhere. The palm tree watercolor on a pink background wasn't, so finally I begged for one last deadline, another ciiiiiiiinq minutes please (you see the extension to write his essay) and after a night of war of paint, paper, sheets and scissors, I told myself that we had to rework this motif with paper, a bit of our signature over the years.

With Canson paper for the grain and a super-chic navy blue background, that's how the palm motif came about once again, "painfully", but I think I'm beginning to come to terms with the fact that with each collection I start over 30 times before I'm satisfied... I wear some people out, believe me (sorry Maria)...

I also wanted to let you know that I've been making myself scarce around here because my life is taking unexpected turns and I'm realizing that it's hard to be in the thick of things. I'm not even going to talk about my personal life... but rather about Make My Lemonade. At first, it was just a little window lost in the vastness of the Internet, but now it's a business. My little bubble of freshness, my creative outlet, has become a company that supports people. And today, I've also become an entrepreneur and a "boss", and I'm starting to realize all that. 5 years ago, I tried everything to free myself from my bosses and the corporate world to create Make My Lemonade... Today, on the days when we're full, there are 10 of us. Can you imagine? ?! As a result, I have to be everywhere and available to everyone to keep the ship moving, and it's not easy juggling Make My Lemonade, Wear Lemonade and projects for other brands that you don't necessarily hear about. The lemonade bottle fills up fast and I try to tint every single bubble in it (I'm maxing out the metaphor today...), and it's not always easy to find the time to realize all the ideas in my head, but I guess that's the tragedy of a hyperactive generation!

Whenever I have a bit of free time, I find more pleasure in drawing for Wear Lemonade, imagining shoots, or creating an ephemeral or even more permanent venue, than writing for Make My Lemonade. So it makes me a little nostalgic to write about it, because Make My Lemonade and writing have been the basis of everything, but to tell you the truth, I think we're in a state of perpetual mutation, and we have to know how to reinvent ourselves and our work. that everything is cyclical. I know that you shouldn't ask yourself too many questions, that you shouldn't feel obliged to do things if you don't feel like it... And then social networks and Instagram have also changed the game. I'm wondering what's next, why not create an editorial newsletter in which it's back to basics, with exclusive content available in your mailboxes, because ultimately what matters most is you, without whom none of this would exist! As you can see, I ask myself a thousand questions!

Getting back to business, I'd like to talk to you in more detail about our current collaborations! At the pop up (an article is coming very soon with photos of the place) we've collaborated with lots of people I adore! As I mentioned above, there's the collection with Princesse Tam-Tam, plus an adorable little lemonade stand. And then we asked the talented Virginie Morgand to design posters inspired by our "Bons Baisers de Lemon Bay" collection, and also Melody Leblond for some heartfelt wording, but we'll get to that later! We also have Jimmy Fairly, with 3 pairs of colorful sunglasses to complete your summer looks... For me, collaborations are great playgrounds for exploring techniques and know-how that were previously unknown to us. When you're a small brand, experimenting with people whose trade and speciality it is, is the best way to test and take measured risks together... Anyway, I think there's no greater pleasure than taking pleasure in learning and seeing our projects become real! Long live collaboration!

And because we're so happy with this tropical collection, we're going to spoil you tomorrow with the PDF pattern for the Tino shirt dress, complete with video tutorial! And once again, Princesse Tam-Tam is offering you the chance to win the entire collection! Yes, yes... So to win :
