Hello kittens!

As I'm tidying up from top to bottom for the start of the new school year, from the office to the studio dropbox, I realize that I haven't even debriefed you on the second workshop with Sephora that we did at the beginning of the summer. The workshop was an invitation to travel, with a showcase of Sephora brand products in mini form, which I personally always have at the bottom of my bag... Anyway, we did a big initiation to sewing, with a great bowling bag (the tuto is coming very soon), and to chain-stitch embroidery! And speaking of workshops, we're preparing a crazy program for the occasion of our Pop-up Store, with workshops every day - yes, yes, you read that right, EVERY day! It's going to be a month of DIY at 16 rue de Lancry in République! I'll let you know when the ticket office opens!

For this second workshop with Sephora, after offering a box to hold all your manicure essentials, we taught participants how to make the ultimate sewing accessory to take everywhere with you this year: the bowling bag, for sports, or in a more chic version for everyday life! Not too big, not too small, with pockets on the outside and on the inside to hold your whole life... We brainstormed a bit so that it wouldn't be too difficult for beginners, but with a Waouh result, the famous Waouh effect... The DIY step-by-step is coming soon, I reassure you, Laure will take over, because it's been a long time since you've read it!

And as we were lucky enough to have a whole afternoon, we also decided to do a little embroidery workshop, which is always a big hit: an introduction to super-easy chain stitch... And for the occasion, we asked the participants to embroider a pastel-colored pair of panties! It's always fun to see what you want to write on your underwear! So, while waiting for the sewing machines to become available, the girls relaxed their fingers on the little embroidery drums. A lovely moment in the studio, bathed in summer light... We felt good. I just love this studio!

Back to the bag. We made it in a yellow and white striped fabric, very deckchair-like, which will bring back memories (yes, our Lolita dress!), remember), a red polka-dot lining (you can't do that again!) and colorful cotton handles. And let me tell you, Laure and I were blown away. Yes, really. Because all the participants did very well, even though some of them had never used a sewing machine in their lives! From small hand embroideries to do while chatting, to machine stitching that required a great deal of concentration, they were all very talented. Well Done, girls! I can't tell you how emotional it was at the end of the day to see them leave with their bags almost finished and full!

Of course, to pull it all off, we needed a lot of energy (the perfect excuse), but fortunately we were spoiled with treats from Fauchon (ohlala, the eclairs decorated with pink flamingos, Piña colada perfume! drool...) The talented Laurence Maestrello was there too, and she did everyone's make-up with Sephora's mini products, so everyone came out of the studio super fresh! Thanks to Laure for her confidence and teaching skills!

Thanks to the entire Sephorathe boys at Musicalist for the music, to our national Olitax for the video, to Fauchon for the eclairs and macaroons, and to all the dapper and talented participants! Lots of kisses and see you soon for the DIY of the perfect striped bag to bring a little pep back into your everyday life!
