Ahhhh my love desk...

I'm so happy to show you this lemonade studio today, I hope it inspires you, as much as it boosts and soothes us... It's been a real joy to set it up the way I really wanted, without a guy to calm my colorful ardors even if I'm lucky, mine is pretty damn docile in terms of decorating. So yes, it's my office, but I don't work alone, there are 4 of us and I think they trust me, so it was easy to please us because we're all on the same wavelength. Imagine our growing excitement when choosing the furniture, while waiting for the furniture and while tearing off the packaging, the hysteria... Little by little, we built our nest. Well, little by little, it's all relative, it was folded in 15 days, because you may not know it, but when I have an idea somewhere, I go fast. I don't know much about patience...

I wanted this office to feel like home, cosy and calm. Because given the amount of time I spend in the office, I needed it to be eye candy. But I also wanted it to be like me: chaotic but orderly, let me explain... I wanted big tables that you could move around and put end to end to make a huge Workshop table... I found these incredible tables at Maisons du Monde. So yes, identical tables, but with different seats, leather chairs, white resin chairs, black wood chairs, a bench etc... And a tidy desk, in the sense that I now make it a point of honor to leave the desk if everything is spotless, and I can tell you that I've come a long way!

But the truth is, I'm not the only one who's super messy in this office - I won't tell on anyone. So I found this piece of furniture in the same collection as the tables, to delimit the "entrance/work space", and in this piece of furniture each of us has a box, in which we store our lives. Unfortunately, my box is the fullest, but what can I say, habits die hard...

An accumulation of frames, my little collection of bulletin boards that I've tracked down on the Internets, the blackboard with clip-on letters, and the luminous chalkboard with sliding letters. A wall that can evolve, change message, leave little words, write mantras that motivate us. I'd already started making a wall like this in my living room, and I really love the idea. It's a bit like a projection of what's going on in my head. It's like an accumulation of thoughts, moments and inspirations that randomly come out of my brain, which can move and grow.

And yes, yesterday we were talking about hideously colored walls and catastrophic ceilings and "solutions" for camouflaging, transforming or diverting attention. I forgot to tell you that there are bars on the windows in our office. And no matter how many times we've turned the problem upside down, it's like the fireproof ceiling: it's insoluble unless you get a concrete grinder... So to forget about those bars without blocking out the light, we've come up with the magic solution of tulle curtains. They're super-cosy, distracting and barely darken the room...

As for the little "reception" area, here too I didn't want similar seating and couldn't find what I was looking for in the sofas, but fortunately once again, Maisons du Monde was there to fill the gap. I love the fact that the whole thing looks like it's been hunted down, but it's all new, the look of vintage but with the quality of new, what more could you ask for? Above the bench there's a hanging mirror with a leather tie, a great illustration of our former flatmates. Benjamin Moreau and Noémie Ferstand a picture of a lemon tree found in a bookshop on the banks of the Seine... By the way, I need your help: in the photo above left, there's a small bouquet of yellow ball flowers. Do you know the name of this specimen?

I hope you've enjoyed it, and if you choose to come and pick up your patterns in person, we'll welcome you to the office, so you can admire the studio's impeccable tidiness! And here are some great shopping addresses for home and office!

If you need any further information on the provenance of small items, don't hesitate to write us a comment! Big hugs and kisses.
