JO MALONE X MAKE MY LEMONADE

Thank you for your words and your crazy love for this Lolita dress. I can't wait to see your creations! Since then, more and more of you have been coming to the site, so many that it was a little overwhelmed by your enthusiasm, but everything's back to normal!
Today, I'm back with a little do-it-yourself project, just the way I like it! A few weeks ago, I told you about my collection of favorite perfumes, and I was pleasantly surprised to be contacted again by Jo Malone, whose Cologne "Wood Sage & Sea Salt.
The Jo Malone team suggested I introduce you to a service for customizing perfumes to create a unique trail, which they call "Fragrance Combining". The idea is not to mix 42 references, but rather to mix 2, and that's not bad at all! Olfactory experts can superimpose 3. And add a 4th scent with a scented body lotion. But that's too complex for me. Besides, I'm a firm believer in "less is more", so I prefer not to play the chemist's apprentice on my skin.
I received 2 other fragrances, special scents like Jo Malone knows so well how to make. Assembling unexpected ingredients has become the House's trademark. I remind you that my original fragrance is "Wood Sage & Sea Salt", literally "Bois flotté et Sel de Mer"... So I received "Lime Basil & Mandarine", the house's signature scent. They put it everywhere: in their boutiques, of course, but they also spray it on tissue paper. The lemon and basil mix is very sweet, a little acidic, and combined with "Wood Sage & Sea Salt" it accentuates the "kick" of sea spray. I love it and I'll stop here, I'm not adding any more, I'm still a little player... Otherwise, I've also received "Blackberry & Baywhich is more gourmand and fruity, bringing back certain childhood memories. Mixed with "Wood Sage & Sea Salt", the whole becomes rounder, softer, almost comforting!
So I've come up with a little paper do-it-yourself for you to tame fragrance layering... You know my love of paper flowers, there's already been thepaper roses and the mini cherry pomponsor peonies... Today, I've come up with a few imaginary flowers to complete the Make My Lemonade collection of flowers... I'll have to invent siphoned lemon names for them! Something to keep you busy this summer, and make delicate wreaths for your bridesmaids, who knows? Kisses and I'll leave you to download the pattern of your ( I hope) new favorite flowers...

For this DIY you'll need :
- – the pattern flowers to download,
- - scissors,
- - ruler,
- - 60cm white ribbon,
- - scalpel,
- - white paper,
- - a tube of glue,
- - white tissue paper.
Print and cut out flower patterns.
Transfer your patterns to white paper and cut them out. Choose different papers to get different shades of white.
Using the back of your scalpel and your ruler, trace the fold lines slightly to make it easier to follow. Fold the flower and glue with the tab.
Wait until the glue has dried for a clean result, then curl the petal ends with your fingertips.
Now take the pistils you've cut from your flower, fold them accordion-style, apply a little glue and slide them into your flower!
Ta-da! Your first flower is born! Now for the next tissue paper flower. Take a strip of tissue paper and fold it in half lengthways.
Fold it over a few more times and cut out a heart with scissors (be sure to place the base of the heart in the fold of the paper to create a double heart when unfolded).
Superimpose the heart petals to create a round flower.
Twist the base on itself to secure the flower, and replace the petals evenly.
Scent your flowers - you can use different scents depending on the flowers, and combine them.
Continue making flowers of different sizes and shades of white, and assemble your wreath by gluing your flowers to a thin strip of paper.
Using the tip of your scissors, make a notch at the end of your strip of paper or fabric and thread your ribbon through it!
