Happy Monday, kittens!

I hope you're well and had a nice sunny weekend! I'm back today to show you a bit of my work! Once again this season, the Milk magazine has teamed up with the jewelry brand Piaget to create a magical series! And the Milk team asked me to do the set design, I remember the brief very well, when I went to the editorial office, there was a huge pile of inspiration photos, deco, glitter, body details but in the idea we wanted to make Cocteau-style magic, which would have been lost in a tumblr for the time of an afternoon...

I love the way this team works, Isis-Colombe Combréas, the publishing director, and Karel Balas, the magazine's art director and photographer for this series. I like the way they create their own imagery, the way they direct the children, the way they combine clothes, have one idea and then go on to something completely different... I think there really is a Milk label. I can immediately recognize images produced by this team in a quarter of a second when I search on Pinterest. I don't think it's a question of chroma or photographer, but it's a whole.

My little day magic wand, giant card and bow made for the occasion. Ibride table available from Fleux.

For this shoot, I had prepared a lot of objects that didn't end up being shot, but it's always better to have too much than too little. I love the chaos on shoot days when all the props are set out on tables, like a display of possibilities (I'm not even talking about the animals this time). You never know what the end result is going to look like, but all the keys are there to make something crazy! This is the part of my job that I really love. So now I've got magic props galore in my office, glitter-covered objects, giant cards, carpet mats... A veritable Alibaba cave. To be continued! You can find the whole series in Milk #44, on newsstands now! Kisses, kittens!
