My little cats!

Happy Monday! I'm so happy to write this article because it's been on my mind for a long time, and then the other day I took the time to photograph and write it. It's a beauty article because, I confess, at the start of the blog and even long before that, when I arrived in the capital on my own, barely of age, I always had the beauty habits of a teenager and for a long time made very little effort to take an interest in my vanity. The Biactol pump and Nivea cream were part of my daily routine for a long time, until my beauty-savvy friends arrived, and especially with the arrival of the blog in my life. Please note that this article is not sponsored by any brand, it's just us sharing tips. To be completely frank, I receive a lot of products, I test them, I love them, I adore them, I abandon them, I don't understand them, I forget them like everyone else, but today I'd like to tell you about the little revolutions in my life, yes, revolutions, products that I buy back as soon as they're empty...

You'll see that these are my basics, for skincare, complexion and eyes, because lipsticks and eyeshadows can never be enough, they're a bit like shoes...

To begin with, I'd like to talk about my cleansing and skincare routine. I'm far from being the gestapo of make-up removal, but I know that above all, beautiful skin starts with good make-up removal... and it took me a long time to get the hang of it, but that's the secret, really! A few months ago, I received this brush Clarisonic Mia 2At first, I used it morning and night at full blast, making big movements, like scraping a parquet floor... Absolutely everything you shouldn't do. The result was ultra-dry skin and little red spots, and then I talked about it with my friends from Make my beauty who advised me to use it only in the evening, and every other day to start with. And what a revolution, my skin's texture has been significantly refined very quickly, and the shiny T-zone is a distant memory. Now I follow the various cleansing cycles to the letter (with different vibration durations for different areas of the face), and there's no need to make any movements, as the brush itself performs a micro-massage, going back and forth more than 300 times per second: supersonic, effortless cleansing in a nutshell. I've been using it every evening for the past 5 months, after removing my eye make-up with the cleansing foam. Caudalie cleansing foam, a dream of gentleness... (be careful, you need to change the brush head every 3 months). And I use the mousse alone every morning to cleanse my face. I'm a fan because it's really not aggressive, it doesn't strip, but I feel that clean sensation I love at the end of cleansing. And I finish with the moment of absolute kiffe, the cream. Nirvanesque by Nuxe light, no but the smell is crazy, completely addictive. And the scent is a better way of getting the message across than using a "first age" cream for wrinkles...

And this little miracle product! Glam GlowOkay, it's not cheap, but it's so effective! It's from my sublime friend Simone, and it's really good! Simone Blog who recommended it to me. I asked her in all impartiality if she knew of a nice product that could help me get rid of the little pimples associated with bangs, don't be disgusted, we're all at the same point. If I fake it for a week, alternating between a rockabilly banana, a scarf and a little braid, I get a baby forehead, but if I leave my Justin Bieber bangs on my forehead for more than 3 days, it's all over, Baghdad down there. And then I was fed up with having to choose hair or skin, so this Glam glow mask: magic. I use it once a week. It stings a lot at first, but it's almost complicated to keep it on my face and then it calms down, dries, creates air bubbles around imperfections and after rinsing it's already much better. I use it in the evening and the next morning, it's Christmas or almost... Simone strongly recommended the black version and not the even more "corrosive" white one, with its soda lye atmosphere on the face.

I'll give you a quick update on moisturizing: when the weather starts to get furiously nice, I alternate with the Nirvanesque cream, and the crème délicieuse de Nuxe SunYou're going to think I'm crazy, but I don't like to look "too" tanned, I quickly turn orange and not caramel as I should, I'm sure there are some of you who understand what I'm talking about.

My absolute quest for the perfect complexion sometimes turns into a bit of an obsession, but I'm still convinced that I can get photoshopped skin with a few good products. Over the years, I've discovered a number of little products that help me on my sacred quest... First and foremost, I apply the skin care product Pore Minimizer by Dior, a sort of little miracle in a tube, which smoothes the skin, minimizes pores, matifies, smoothes and blurs fine lines, all while being super-light and transparent. I apply a dab of it, and it's pretty crazy, the doll-like complexion it makes in just a few strokes. Then it's on to love in a tube, my favorite product. I'm on my third tube in 18 months... La BB cream by shu uemura, words fail me to describe it to you, it's light yet full-coverage, mattifying yet super-moisturizing, and "curls eyelashes on the vanity", it contains SPF 30 sun protection. HOURRA! For dark circles, which have been my bane for 2 years now, I use this great little pot of Benefit Erase Paste the lightest shade, I dab a little on my dark circles with my fingertips and set with this brilliant powder Invisible Loose Powder by Laura Mercier. I discovered this powder with the girls from Make My BeautyAlexandra had once done my make-up for a shoot and praised it as her favorite product. Laura Mercier is a rather complicated brand to find in Paris and I imagine even more so in France, but you can find it at Birchbox. This powder is applied like a normal powder, but as soon as it's applied, it becomes invisible, I mean, it doesn't leave a trace of its passage with a "powdery" finish, but creates a kind of blur that catches the light... And I finish for the complexion with a blush, I have two loves: the brand's blush and the brand's blush. bareMineralsI love the fact that the powder texture blends perfectly into my skin. And then I've always had my madeleine de Proust in my bag the Bourjois round boxI'm crazy about the smell...

And then the other big part of my daily routine is my eyes... I find it hard to leave the house without anything on my eyes, but I work on it, especially on vacation. Okay, it only happens once a year, but I like to do a bit of slow beauty for a few days. When I put mascara back on, I feel like I'm Mariah Carey. In short, I'm not loyal to one mascara in particular, I try out several, and once I've finished, I haven't really fallen in love with one so much that I absolutely have to re-sign... At the moment, I use a combo of Dior show Maximizer and the Dior Iconic in black, certainly not for everyone, but after my obsession with flawless skin, I'm now obsessed with 18-meter lashes, full and natural. Let me tell you, using these two products is really effective for a long, dense result-I haven't found anything better yet! For my little eyeliner line, which I find hard to get rid of, I only use the Baby doll liner. Yves Saint Laurent because it's applied with a brush and it's become rare to find this kind of tool with the advent of felt-tip liner, which I can't manage to use at all; I like the precision of the brush and the clean, not "plastic" finish of its composition. I finish with a line of beige pencil inside the eye. I'm always on the lookout for tips that will make my eyes look bigger, and after years of using black pencil inside the eye to shrink it, I'm getting my revenge with my beige pencil - beige, yes, because it's more natural than white, which will contrast too sharply with the white of the eye.

And my latest obsession-yes, I know, I have quite a few in terms of beauty-is to have big, messy eyebrows, and it's been going on for years... And then the other day I go to the Benefit boutique to buy my little darling concealer, and the very clever saleswoman introduces me to this product: Gimme BROW. I'm just in love, it's a mascara for eyebrows that's super easy to apply with its mini brush, I finish by "styling" my eyebrows with a brush and voila I've got XL eyebrows in 15 seconds... Well, I'd also like to thank my mom once again for always having forbidden me to bother with tweezers...

These are my favorite little products, and I could also tell you about my savior of too-short nights, Visine. I don't know where to find it in stores in France, but you can find it on the Internet. here. Two drops in each eye and I don't look like an albino rabbit anymore, it's really a very, very good product, but not to be abused. And my other favorite is Boiron Laboratories' Homeoplasmine, the savior of my mouth all year round...
