Greetings my little chestnuts!

Today's post is a little different... We're going to talk about chiffon/chignon and, more specifically, scarves and braids. As you can see, hair grows... slowly but surely. The bob is on its way, but I've got a hankering for braids and buns and there's nothing I can do but WAIT. And as our national Fred would say, learning patience is my mission in life. If you want to make something really fiddly and meticulous, that's no problem, but patience is another story... A cake in the oven, waiting for the metro for more than 5 minutes or even being able to braid my hair: it drives me crazy. But since I'm resourceful, or so I think, I've made my own "hair" out of 5 scarves, so that I too can have a braid running down my forehead!

In keeping with #PurelyCuban... Remember the background of the Series Carmen Miranda and the video background Princess Mojito? Well, our creation with my beloved Alexandra B., we were lucky enough to have her make this scarf! See you on my Instagram to win 10!

Take a small or large scarf, place it on your head without folding it and take two sides at your fingertips.

Tie a small knot at the back of your head. There you go you're ready to go trekking in the desert don't thank me.

Twist the rest of the scarf to one side, as if you had a low ponytail on the side (a little imagination, please!).

And take 4 more scarves of the same size. And start attaching them to the base of the imaginary low ponytail.

Separate your scarves, and start braiding them between your fingers as if they were a herringbone braid. Bring your outermost scarf into the middle of your braid, alternating the right and left outer sides.

Braid all your scarves together: you've got a maxi braid with a Rapunzel vibe on acid. Now take your braid and twist it around your head.

Tuck the end of your braid under the start of your imaginary low ponytail and TA-DA!
